I bought that record in February 1969, and it still plays. I think mine and the sleeve are in better shape. When I was in college radio, I used to play the other side, "Buzz Saw" for Halloween (1981 and 1982).
@VanGoghsEar1890 Not sure if the sunflower question was for my benefit, however, I feel I must respond. I love sunflowers! In my mind they are a statement of hope. You know? Something beautiful growing from and insignificant weed. They remind me of kinder, more joyful tomorrows.
thanks for posting this, i love this song. one of my favourite youtube clips featured this being played on vinyl but the clip recently disappeared. i came looking for the song again and found it here...on vinyl too, yay! this is fantastic, again, thanks for posting.
Tell your friend not to touch the grooves of 45s when holding them. The oil from your fingers can get into the grooves, and that's not good. And what's with the HUGE sticker?
First Of all,It doesn't matter if I touch the groves because I have a record cleaner. And the sticker is because the 45 rpm record belonged to a radio station.
thanks for the upload, i almost forgot this song! LOVE THE TURTLES!

Your belt drive is loose, and it's spinning your turntable too quick when you switch to 45.

BTW the amazing thing about this song is that it's two guys doing the duet. Now, do you like sunflowers?

Yes, I have this and it is a bit slower and as you say more hypnotic...a beautiful song. The Turtles were/are a great band.
