@DarthMai so? China doesn't want to end up like Japan whose economic rise was destroyed by U.S. China won't comply with the same accusations done to Japan.
Zakaria of CNN has been so stupid is asking questions...the only way China has progressed was opening its doors to Capitalism and not Socialism. Equity and justice? Assuming that China has become a Capitalist system is small minded . Rather I think that the development of Free Market Socialism has caused China to appear as highly capitalistic. However it has also achieved a steady 9.5% a year growth, which has been achieved through trade with Capitalist states using the Price Mechanism. For the first time in a Communist State workers have begun to be rewarded directly for their Labour, rather than relying on Satellite States, China trades & invests.
Such uestioning and counter-questioning is senseless. Let me facilitate a quick answer here. There is capitalism and there is communism, there is also Islamism, and Zionism and many other '~isms out there. 50 years ago my parents ran from Communist Cuba because they did not want me to grow up in Castro's nightmarish HELL of a revolutionary dictatorship. Fine! At that same moment, Angela Davis fled to Castro's Cuba seeking refuge. Everyone has the right to choose as they see fit.
I don't see the need to enter into such senseless questioning and counter-questioning. Let me facilitate a quick answer here. There is capitalism and there is communism, there is also Islamism, and Zionism and many other '~isms out there. 50 years ago my parents ran from Communist Cuba because they did not want my sister and I to grow up in Castro's nightmarish HELL of a revolutionary dictatorship. Fine! At that same historical moment, the likes of Angela Davis fled to Castro's Cuba.
Capitalism is an objective social system. To fault capitalism for being motivated by greed is ignorant, solely because the "Greedy" actions that Capitalist take are apart of how the system works. The constant need for expansion, profits, growth is apart of the external and coercive relations of the market, and the basis of the capitalist mode of production; the maximization of exchange value. To chastise greed, is to individualize and distract from the systemic fundamentals of the system.
@questfortruth86 not regulate business practices, it would even propitiously promote such practices on the basis of maintaining the value and safety of property according to behavior empiricism- traditionally a conservatively biased way of observing human behavior-(Values of Home ownership going down with the introduction of blacks to traditionally white suburban neighborhoods); the idea that blacks and minorities are prone to destructive behaviour that is dangerous to property and commerce.
Listen, I'm wholly uninterested in Marxian materialist dogma, where individual actions are entirely determined by the mysterious machinations of the material forces of production, i.e., capital goods. You guys can't have it both ways; either capitalists are entirely driven by the profit motive (greed) or they are irrational and willing to sacrifice huge sources of profit in order to pursue their racist inclinations. Either way, racism predates capitalism (a fact).
@Questfortruth86 Racism does not predate Capitalism (An actual fact). Racism is a product of Chattel Slavery, which was an essential to build Capitalism.
The discovery of gold and silver in America, the extirpation, enslavement and entombment in mines of the aboriginal population, the beginning of the conquest and looting of the East Indies, the turning of Africa into a warren for the commercial hunting of Black skins, signalized the rosy dawn of the era of capitalist production - Karl Marx
that denies "hardworking" whites the spoils of their labor to promote a perceived "undeserving/idle" minority. Secondly, while a business may not act racist openly, it could act racist subtly which would be easily accepted among the American masses. There is plenty of evidence in the promotion of racist practices -subtle but essentially racist-(public and private) that are readily accepted by white Americans, liberal and conservative. The market not only would
@shadowgeyser Racism is a product of capitalism and is apart of the Capitalist superstructure. How else do you get working class whites in America to support rich people? lol
Secondly, common sense falls second to making a profit. Racially marginalizing doesn't hurt business if the business's ability to make a profit isn't hurt by marginalizing a group. Please look at the economy in reality, not your theory. You are arguing against historical facts with plenty of examples in American history.
If you acknowledge that racism, or any other form of discrimination, is a bad business practice, i.e., it lowers total potential net revenue that a firm can make (and therefore yields an advantage for its competitors), then it logically follows that the best remedy for such a condition is to allow racist businessmen to lose business rather than forcing them to engage in non-discriminatory good business policies. In other words, we should let racist idiots lose money.
@Questfortruth86 You seem to think Capitalism is purely economical. You are not looking at the social/class phenomena that happen on top of these market relations, which is reflective of an adherer to bourgeoisie economics. The protestant work ethic, (a black slave mentality filtered through white-nationalist/white supremacist ideology) would promote the existence of racist practices in business on the basis of a person persuing their rights from an overreaching Fed. Gov, often seen as an actor
@shadowgeyser Don't be stupid. My grandmother was a victim of Jim Crow. Practicing racism is retarded in business, but that didn't stop the majority of Americans form doing it and that certainly isn't stopping a growing amount of white American voters who support repealing the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Affirmative Action. Your Libertarian/Capitalist-market fundamentalism is a mental disorder. Understand Capitalism on realistic and scientific basis , not an ideological one.
"harmony and stability" something captilism has not been able to achieve. The Middle class are still vunerable to the economic recklessness of the top few, and the disparty with the poor is getting to the point of no return. The verdict is still out on social market economy ....oh and the only reason why Russia is gone 3rd world is becasue it adopted captitalism before that its was 2nd largest economy in the world......
Russia was the world's second largest economy while thousands waiting on bread lines, each day, which extended around entire city blocks, and when millions were imprisoned in Gulags. When Levi jeans were valued more highly than gold (in Russia), and where men could freely exchange them for sex with beautiful Russian women. The USSR suffered from massive shortages and periodic famines (which have never, ever occurred in any capitalist system), when it was the 2nd largest economy.
@Questfortruth86 I'm not defending the policies of the ruling elite in former USSR and present Russia just as i'm not defending the ruling elite of America and they are both criminals as far as i'm concerned, its an insult to 50+ million americans that are teethering on the bring starvation for you to defend a system that is supposdly lift them out of poverty. If you google fasters GDP growth you will notice China and Vietnam and let us all know what they have in common.
China's key to "success," if we define success as a high GDP growth rate, is imitation and unwarranted production. China produces many things, but it also produces empty ghost cities and super malls. All of this shows up in its GDP, but this is not wealth; it's the destruction of wealth. It's funny that he brings up gaps in social wealth, considering the fact that the Chinese economy is the most polarized economy in the world, where 40% of the population consists of subsistence farmers.
@Questfortruth86 Its no different from Capitalist and th e thousands of sweatshops that exist globally. Capitalism has damned the majority of the worlds population to poverty, so the Chinese model doesn't seem like this evil monolith you aret rying to paint it as.
Capitalism has led to the fastest and most robust expansion of wealth the world has ever known, where wages have grown exponentially, and where, for the first time in history, mankind was able to overcome Malthus' law. The poorest in the developed western world have access to water, transportation, TV, the internet, etc, amenities which the Medici, Rothschilds, and Tudors could only dream of. If it weren't for capitalism, you would be a serf somewhere, if you were alive at all.
@Questfortruth86 Cool comment, some problems though. Yes, the poorest in the developed western world have access to water, tv and the internet (mostly due to government intervention). However, you argue as if western people are the only people that matter. I don't see all the TVs, Internet, transportation and clean water for people in Africa, or Bangladesh. Secondly, if it werent' for Capitalism, the majority of the worlds people of color wouldn't be suffering from white supremacy.
And why don't you see TVs, the internet, clean water and transportation in Africa? Why was Eastern Germany far less developed than western Germany? Why did so many Koreans, Chinese, Russians, Ukrainians, Yugoslavians, South Americans, etc flee to, and stay in the U.S? You should ask yourself these questions. Also, you speak as if Capitalism created racism, as if the world was more tolerable towards colored peoples in pre-capitalist society.
@Questfortruth86 Racism definetly is a product of Capitalist society. I hope you don't hink racism is calling people names *rolls eyes*. Its a social relation of power, not individual actions.
Secondly, I attribute the Soviet Blocs lack of material wealth (in terms of accumulated riches), to the fact that all of those countries weren't as far developed before they even embraced Communism. The west already had a 200 year headstart when the battle of ideology began.
@Tougemaster06 Couldn't agree more if you look at what the english did to the Irish during the great famine where 1 million died from starvation the scots which where used as ballast in english ships during the building of the america and now called rednecks(no offence intended qouting Malcom X "embrace the slander") pulling guts from chicken and queuing with food stamps so they can feed thier families. Be warned a movement is begnining and you intellectuals your days are numbered
heres how I see it, when your nation is poor, communism and socialism is favourable because it keeps the people content. When you're doing well, a free market is preferable allowing the country to progress. China and russia were both devastated by war and poverty prior to them turning communist. But once they picked them selves back up, they loosened the grip and became more capitalist. Same thing with america, now that it's economy is stalling, it's turning more and more socialist.
I respect china because if long history of peace. I learn many meaningful all these years of war invasion. Japan bomb china and invade them. human war crime. France. Spain. England now their on the lead to the world leading enconmy and power. Cheers china. From USA.
First impression with Wen on this interview is that he is a very learned man with high morals- deep thinking and always has references with the past or history to look into working out solutions plaguing today's fragmented society; running a country with a billion people is definitely not an easy job.
visible and invisible hands, not only a few can balance the flow but flow resides in all of us. When we all feel this flow society evolves to a function as one.
@stureremil1942 what do u want really? when they being creative u calling it betrayal, when they being communist u calling it human rights abuse? so? lol ..
They've barely even started, these guys make things happen, if they say they are going to do something they do it. No endless debates, no in fighting.
First to have good health for society its the responsibility of the individual to have good health like proper diet, regular excercise and medical checkups and when each individual in a society does that they are health free.
If the individual have poor health for example you or me how are we fit enough to contribute to society? And you include certain powers you mean politicians?
human beings still not equal specially in any form of government interference. No Politicians, lawyers, Bankers, Anarchist, Rebel Politicians, kings, sultans, Czars, emperors, Pope. No to modern slavery.. & No to Users, opportunist & lazy people...!!!
We dont need any government anymore.. we are all free.!! lets all create a society of free world for all. A working, honest, thingking community of free will of equality.
so wait... how did china go from communism to socialism?... thats a great transition
usually it crashes into capitalism...
i might move to china but what are their human rights like... acctually fuck china i bet its hard to get weed... but fuck america too... any suggestions?

Tougemaster06 1 year ago
@Tougemaster06
Don't be an idiot.
Questfortruth86 1 year ago

Wen is kind of stupid. I like Zhou Rongji.
FukaLama 1 year ago
First impression with Wen on this interview is that he is a very learned man with high morals- deep thinking and always has references with the past or history to look into working out solutions plaguing today's fragmented society; running a country with a billion people is definitely not an easy job.

visible and invisible hands, not only a few can balance the flow but flow resides in all of us. When we all feel this flow society evolves to a function as one.

In life its not about communism or capitalism its about happiness and health of the individual.
BlindandGore 2 years ago
may i ask why you picked the word individual and not society?
Individual makes more sense not about life, but about nature.
kostas6667 2 years ago
First to have good health for society its the responsibility of the individual to have good health like proper diet, regular excercise and medical checkups and when each individual in a society does that they are health free.
BlindandGore 2 years ago
Νο i disagree with you,you seem t understand society as an add up of all the individuals.
I concept society as one.
kostas6667 2 years ago
Society as one? You mean masses of people together in thousands and millions?
BlindandGore 2 years ago
Society is not a mass. What I say for the society does not undo the importance of the individual.
Certain powers are concentrated in the individual creativity and others in the society as a whole.
kostas6667 2 years ago
If the individual have poor health for example you or me how are we fit enough to contribute to society? And you include certain powers you mean politicians?
