  • CAN HAS!? 0.0

  • Must be really expensive

  • Actually...the pieces are very heavy with felt bottoms, so they will stay put unless the table is tipped over. The stuff feels like solid marble.

  • I could just imagine the frustration when somebody's char, god forbid, died and they hit the table sending the pieces everywhere. it would be a nightmare and it would take forever to set everything back up again.

  • Nerdgasm

  • I could get an erection over this.... too bad it's not animate ;(

  • EYEGASM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My eyes! The epic is too much...it...hurts!

  • i would sell my soul for that shit.

my nick is aviza, and i'm a d&d addict.

  • Before going to the website I calculate this between $275.00 and $350.00

  • @CaptCamping - its alot more than that :) A big setup like the one they showed could run upwards of 600-800 dollars...

Great idea, but TOTALLY not worth that kind of money.. I cast my own from my own sculptures. If anyone is interested in buying A LOT cheaper, let me know ;)

  • Hey! Lets waste thousands of dollars on something that could be done digitally! Better have a trust fund for this bovine scatology of an erector set.

  • :( i wish i could find people into d&d now a day

  • @snipa66 Look for D&D Encounters on the official site. They have store locatior, just put in your zipcode and it'll give you a list. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how many places there are for you to play in.

  • @davidtres28 yea but first i must gain more info on d&d on got most 1st edition and some 2nd lol

  • @snipa66 I started out just recently myself, and really what I found out was you only need the rules compendium book. For 10 bucks you can sub for a month to D&D insider and use their official character builder and you're good to go. Should cost you a total for 27bucks I think.

  • Ya know, no matter how cool it is, i think that miniatures/modular terrain seriously impact the "imaginative" process of D&D compared to someone using pen and paper D&D. Not saying i don't think that it's very awesome and incredible, but it just seems rather "superficial".

  • @bud389 Nah, I use maps, models as well as hand-drawn and all are good for different things. When you want the feeling of awe and to make something feel special - you use a map or a model. When you want things to be more vacuous and flexible - you go for the hand-drawn on graph paper or vinyl mat.

  • If I had a billion dollars, I think I'd buy a house and furnish every room like this! 1 square = 1 inch

  • This whole set (or sets) will run about over 5k to 6k! (not adding in the extras) So save up now!!1! :D

  • Damn you dwarven forge! I want it, but ima have to take up cocaine selling if I want to afford it...

  • What is the music used for this video?

  • I wish I could afford these...too expensive.

  • OMG I play DnD maybe once a year tops and I still ask for DF stuff for all my Christmas presents. I am also 30.

  • The pieces are made out of high-quality resin so they will outlast any of us.

  • Is it guaranteed to last a life-time?

  • NERD! randy!

  • i went to the site, and added up and estimated that this whole board you see in the video would cost anywhere from 800-1200 US dollars. the cavernous lake pieces are what really get you on the cost.

  • @MarkOfPower if you got 6 buddies its only 134 - 200$ per person?

  • Dont think thats gunna get you a girlfriend .

  • @itsbrad2008

    notice his wedding ring 1:16

  • wonder how much you would have to pay the owner to do one encounter (let alone a full campaign) on that board!!!

  • I like cheese

  • That's Awskome! Almost makes me want to get into D&D.

  • Dwarven forge - worlds most unnecessarily expensive miniature terrain

  • @xxelaxela333 Indeed , While it Is expensive , it is hand crafted not Factory made , meaning more time , carefull creation , hand painting , And its not built with cheap plastic, If you think about it YES it does take a long time to save the money to buy a decent amount of sets for a good large dungeon , However its a fair deal with the amount of work put into it.

  • @noobyman333 Yeah they look nice, but personally I have to say I love WorldworkS. Their sets look great, are nice and cheap, especially if you have a laser printer, and are entirely modular and reuseable

  • Wow. Very high quality stuff! You guys should do a Space Hulk for Warhammer 40K. :P

  • I do prefer to use my imagination and save a lot of money :D

    hail paperdraw!

  • this is sweet but honestly i would never take d7d this far just use graph paper for the original dungeon then re draw it as you go thats your best bet

  • I can just go down to woodys d.i.y. and buy some wood, foam, knives and other stuff to make a cool set. At the most i would spend is around €100

  • You don't need to spend this kind of fortune for game terrain. Anyone with any creativity can go to Home Depot and spend $50 to make something amazing. This is sweet...but overkill that no one can afford

  • it looks cool.. but its just not practical..

  • i want that soooooooo bad!!!!!!!!!

  • amazing

  • perfect!!! very good joob

  • Nice good terrain for lotr or warhammer also

  • @angron666

Dwarven forge- worlds most expensive mineture terrain just what they showed in tthe video is more than 300$. I mean I understand, they being hand painted and stuff but im not sure its worth the cost in my opinion

  • oi d&d needs the minitures to better represent size to their maps. the miniatuers take up a 5 foot square.. way too big.

  • thanks for this. It was pretty cool to watch

We make D&D like movies in a series on You Tube.

    by Shadowyn Films.

Soul Searching and the Christmas movie Wintertide.

  • I don't get it though... is this for tabletop RPGs or is it for AD&D ? I guess my question is, does it serve a purpouse or is it purely ornamental?

  • You can use it for both, although I would only use it for the fighting in AD&D, instead you loose the advantage of unlimited fantasy

  • yeah, me to

  • I will trade you for fresh dragon hearts.

  • I believe the term "nerd-gasm" is appropriate.

  • could this be used for WH40k, like a massive cave layout, also how much does this cost?

  • of course you can use this for 40k but it is more for smaller matches... under 1000 points or so. You can create scenarios for this battlefield like a rescue mission. the problem is, a playground like that one in the video is very expensive and you have a mesure range on the table, because every square is exactly one inch.

  • Sure, but what about imagination?

  • I have some of this stuff its great.

  • how do you get this set??!?!

  • This is the single most coolest D&D suppliment i've ever seen. My D&D club is so going to help me get this.

  • so cool i can't breath

  • wow ! awesome i never played dungeons and dragons.

  • if only i had money

  • O_O

    OMG...

  • This feels like something your DM would pull out for a session that you knew would last well into the night, the big climactic encounter with the Lich you've been tracking down since you first set foot in town. The thing is, while they add a lot of flavour to the game, playing on a simple wet-erase mat that you use to determine combat and marching order speeds things along, and is much better for the small games played crowded around one or two tables jammed together.

  • awesome terrain best ive seen and is this suitable for war hammer minitures

  • i think it looks a bit like runescape. I dont play the game anymore, but you had an inn with a door to the mines, but anyway, i think its very nice!

  • Very nice. A little costly, but looks like it's worth it.

  • song?

  • perfect for D&D. that is some quality terrain.

  • NERD ALERT!

P.S. I wish i had that much skill, props to you!

  • to cool to be true

  • really cool it would be cool to have it but i have other things to do in my lifetime mabey later (=

  • I have a nice collection of DF terrain. While expensive, I feel it's worth it.

  • wow, really cool but I bet cleaning up is a bitch lol

  • This makes the whiteboard my wife and I tried to draw lines on look like crap.

  • Brb, selling kidney.

  • @CelticPaladin lol youl have the money later dude :D

  • @CelticPaladin LMFAO! That was perfect.

  • Awesome :D

  • No worries. DF will be around when you make it big after college.

  • Very awesome! I'd love to be able to use this in my DnD sessions, but sadly all my players and I are poor-ass college students, so we're stuck drawing out squares on notebook paper. It's great to see you guys being able to do this, do. Keep up the great work.

  • @matteste: dude, the bulette could totally just dig underground, dude.

  • Nice.

My only complaint is the utter lack of modern tilesets.

  • Reminds me of playing a game of D&D at uni years ago. Our party walked into a tavern which the GM lovingly set up using something similar, but made from plastic and cardboard. When he finished he described the scene to us. I said "I don't like the look of this tavern, lets try the one up the street". The party agreed, and the GM actually took it all down again and built an entirely new tavern for the new scene. :) I actually felt sorry for doing that to him in the end, but it was very funny.

  • That music is INTENSE.

  • A bulette would have a really hard time moving around in that dungeon.

  • very good product a lot of my customers request stone bases on their minis because they use this stuff

  • Look, if you can only resort to insults and name calling, you really don't catch much respect from others.

  • The cool thing about DF Miniature terrain is that it becomes a family heirloom that your grandkids will someday use to excite their imaginations. A huge $1,000 DF setup used for 100 years runs about $1/month plus it binds generations of a family together with a shared experience. Electronic gaming is fun, but because of its very nature it is a much more transitory experience that lacks any long-term resonance. How many of us want to re-play our Pong games from just 25 years ago?

  • OK, $12 / month for 100 adventures or $1000 for a play set for figures and are lucky to pull off ONE adventure...

  • becuase D&D is way better

  • I just have to give thumbs down for that kind of ignorance :(

  • Are these set-ups very customizable? I would hate to buy these and only use it a couple of times before it getting repetitive.

  • hey guys... its a sick set up use have got there... just one question.. how did u get that water look??

  • THATS AN AMAZING WELL DONE JOB..WELL DONE! can u buy and is there a site?

  • Where can you buy this? This would be great for my terrain project!

  • You can buy on their official website or on Ebay. There are some people who modify some pieces and sell them on Ebay.

  • these look sweet...storage and setup would be a pain I would think.

Players: "we open the far door"

GM: "ok everyone go watch tv or something, I'll be setting up this portion of the dungeon." *pulls out huge packing crate*

  • Normally, the DMs have already created all the dungeons and they cover them with cardboards. Then, they reveal rooms one by one.

  • What happened to IMAGINATION? *Rainbows fly from hands*

  • lol@spongebob reference.

  • lol funny but if u dont think this is imaginative then... what the hell is O.o

  • Yeah I find pro-wrestling silly too :P

But don't get me wrong, your stuff looks awsome and I would prolly be lier if I said I wouldn't want some smaller model of it. (tho I prolly would feel somewhat embarrest)

  • As nicely made they are, it's really dollhouse for men.

  • what he said

  • Hey, if this is a dollhouse for men, it's just as valid as watching pro-wrestling: just a male soap-opera.

I say let my cohorts enjoy their figurines. Dollhouse or not, they are works of art. If a bit high priced.

  • youre really not good at sarcasm arent you?

  • who's being sarcastic? ;)

  • Dollhouse? Most of the lord of rings movie sets were miniatures and look how outstanding those were... Open your mind.

  • heck, Lord of the Peeps...those guys did a good job with soft marshmallow shapes.

  • message sent to gretchendawntreader---u shouldn't say that just cuz u could never make an item like that..

  • they're very, very well done, the only isue is that they are pretty high priced. But they seem to be of high quality...

I guess it depends on if you have the money for it.

  • The Hirst pieces you get your moneys worth, but you have to make and paint them yourself. If you have the money for the pieces from Dwarven Forge, they are awesome! I havewnt decided which way to go yet. The DF pieces would be faster, but you can get more from the Hirst pieces.

  • Time to go check price.

  • amazing

  • i love the tavern =D

    awesome!!!!1

  • good job fellas your giving me a run for my money nice comercial! alot better than mine.

    the music is amazing...WELL DONE!

keep up the good work! I have alot of your product.

  • ofcourse its real...

  • this is not real......... WONDERFUL *_*

  • Very cool!

  • wow...... really nice....

  • Is any of this hirst arts pieces?

    The terrain not the Models...

  • No, it's Dwarvenforge.

  • OK 1 question where did you but this stuff its insane.

  • that really looked real wish i had it

  • I like the old school AD&D 1e DM's screen in the background.

  • me wants it

  • Fantastic set up. Hey guys this is Whitewind you did great with this vid, hope it shows a wider audience what can be done with this ever increasing line of hard core terrain. Bravo.

  • Sweet! Best stuff on the planet!
