@kaushalwaw Very sorry to hear you are going through the same. Actually the writer is Premakeerthi De Alwis and was assassinated in 88-89. This is not his experience but he is a magical writer and that's why you feel he talks about his personal story.

My childhood was full of these songs as both my parents are avid fans of the Maestro and all we did was listen to them, growing up in the 80s we were more influenced by the western acts such as Madonna, MJ and so many others and yet today, at 35, I can still sing along to these masterpieces subconsciously... a timeless legacy I hope to leave to my kids one day.

New Generation altered voices with the help of electronic gadgets cannot even come closer to this voice. Also the lyrics, in new songs they put some words together and call it a song. But these are from late Premakirthi De Alwis and will always remain unchallenged. May be it is the generation gap and we just cant put together or compare the styles of two generations. These songs are and will be classics of all time. Long Live Victor and the Sri Lankan classical music.
