  • No cause then there be taxs an such ... who controls it now? these people to money greedy now they want it legal when so many people have been killed... fact is people love to get high...

  • WOW BIG NEWS!!! Richard B tweeted a shocking fact... when Ron Paul was screaming the same thing for 10 years.

  • just make the drugs legal. cigs and alc is legal.

  • I love these folks, but really. They don't know who wins from the criminal war on drugs? Try drug money laundering banks, drug smuggling US government agencies, cops, prison industry and prison labor corporations, ect. These folks need to get out more often!

How about giving Ron Paul his due. On the urgent issues, he is our only, currently viable, pro-peace/prosperity candidate.

  • @LeeEisenstein If only Ron Paul had a basic understanding of economics...

  • Breed crime, by design.

    Create the legal slave.

  • End the drug war!

    Ron Paul 2012 !!!

  • In a nation with lacks regulation and dysfunctional social system I really think increased access would increase usage. There are allot of reasons why the Netherlands can have this and its actually not true that usage is down. Cost on treatment of drug abuse has gone up.

The war on drugs is like fighting poverty. You will never win, but that dosent necessarily mean the best thing is to give up improving the situation for the poor.

  • 5:05 - 5:17

That's kind of a devastating point; becuase, here in England, our various governments over the past three decades have always followed whatever America's done rather then take the initiative.. and we've always waited for America to see sense on the issue of drugs.

  • You're not really surprised Branson said this...Really? Other than Branson has always said or done what he thinks, regardless of what anyone else believes, it's not even controversial. It's kind of normal in UK culture for people to point out what they feel obvious in the media. Doesn't mean it always changes anything in the UK- but 'controversial'? C'mon.

  • Selective prosecution is right. I sat in on a juvenile court for a day in a poor city. One black guy had just been repeatedly getting caught smoking weed and was doing poorly in school. Not one of the probably 20 white stoners I knew in high school who did jack shit school had anything like that happen to them.

  • Yeah I did a report and researched what happened in Portugal and it's actually really cool. They have health workers in orange vests hanging out constantly in the heavy drug areas where heroin addicts and stuff are around copping. They make sure it's safe and then they have programs where they have them do art and stuff like that as part of rehabilitation it's really inspiring and the thing that makes it for me is that the entire approach is one of compassion and not harsh punishment.

  • TYT, you should invite an African-American on your show to talk about these issues.

  • @fiercedragoon1982 African-american my ass. Do You realize there are many white countries in Africa ?!?

  • It's all about the dollars... what did they say, $500,000,000,000 Yep that's billions. DEA takes the lions share and whats left is used to convince local law enforcement to focus on the DEA agenda. Bust weed because it's safe and easy. Unfortunately this huge income blinds the DEA to the fact that they are self serving to the point of criminal activities. Knowingly recomending that cannabis should be a schedule 1 substance is ciminal conpiracy and conflict of interest. DEA can actually write law

  • to get back to your statistics point, Brian,

in the UK they work with a 3-strike system, where when you're caught smoking or possessing marihuana 3 times you get a fine. That's it. They don't care how much marihuana you have on you and the fine won't drive you bankrupt in anyway. It's just not that big a deal.

  • @shittyfagg It's better, but why even have a fine for marijuana. Seems like a totalitarian thing to do.

  • @RKAddict101 Given the US position you're pro'ly throwing very large stones at glass houses. The UK position on marijuana isn't 'totalitarian'. It's arguably wrong, but mostly goes along the lines of- when you get caught the first time it get's confiscated, you get a warning, but it doesn't show on any public records. If you get caught more than once in 12 months you can be arrested- but the police use their discretion under the circumstances. The punishments are usually minor.

  • @MrDragon1968 Putting people in jail or making them pay a fine for having something that doesn't hurt anyone else in their possession is totalitarian in my opinion.

  • @RKAddict101 They don't usually end up in jail, it's more a potential discretionary fine & possibly being recorded when repeatedly being caught. A lot of the time they merely confiscate it and let you go. I don't agree with the UK law - I think it should be legalised - but calling the UK system 'totalitarian' is over the top, and kind of diminishes the term towards some countries where it really does apply.

  • How on Earth have I only found this one channel of yours? :/

  • Ron Paul wants to upset the established order, so everything becomes chaos. lol

  • @relivemetallica

    Clearly he is the Joker.

  • the government are hustlers. they make there bread locking drug users up in prison. Why should the government tell me what I should put in my body?? Stay the fuck outta my life. It's gon be hard to legalize drugs but I'm hopeful. Ron Paul 2012!

  • Shira sent me!

  • Ron Paul would end the embargo on Cuba too

  • Private prisons are winning right now. Btw, Ron Paul said he would pardon all non violent drug offenders.

  • @hankwatt Take Ron Pauls dick out of your mouth for one second please... everything you say is being filtered so it sounds like you are tlaking about Ron Paul all the time.

  • Humans use drugs. Making something illegal increases the amount of users. Want to win the war on drugs? Legalization, or at least decriminalization. End of story.

  • I think that what Ron Paul is stressing is that the fed government should not be responsible for these programs, but that the states are free to establish a welfare system and a healthcare system that best suit its constituents which would reinstate state politicians to actually have to earn their seats and ultimately designing systems throughout the states that provide security for all,and gives the people the choice of where to call home.

  • Conclusion: rap makes black people do drugs. A lot of people are in prison cause of rape too, but the problem is not the police catching them, it's them breaking the law.

  • The UK doesn't borrow shit from any other nation either

It doesn't cost THAT much .... 15 billion... not too much...

  • people need to learn about population size ._.

  • I tweeted them that article. Whoop Whoop.

Another interesting clip about how the USA has recreated the slave trade- /watch?v=iRzU8q4M8sQ

  • None of the change Ron Paul would bring to the system would be for the worse you think that way because you don't know any better. Why don't you have a conversation yourself with Ron Paul about why he would do the things he see that need to be donet? Do you seriously think you know more than him what is better for this country? Why aren't you running for president then?

  • @PattyC127

Deregulation of FDA and allowing uneducated unlicensed "Doctors" to perform surgery would be worse.

You dumb cunt, you know NOTHING of Ron Paul!

  • @PattyC127 Because Cenk wasnt born in the US... also, we have already seen how conservative economic policies (dont) work and how deregulation is (fucking stupid and really isnt) GREAT!

  • You guys need to promo this channel better. I found it through a tweet.

At least with libertarians like Ron Paul they 'seem' to be liberal on personal freedoms. It's the economic side that is bonkers. I couldn't imagine a banking system that self regulates. That would be akin to a pack of wolves in a hen house.

  • Too many government jobs rely on drugs being illegal for them to be made legal. Just look at how many [mostly unnecessary] jobs are directly due to drugs. From the cops to the prisons and all the ones in-between. Drugs being illegal give law enforcement a reason to violate ones rights. Think TSA ... on and on ... its disgusting. Our fellow man sells their soul out for a paycheck. Just doing their jobs, man.

  • @PattyC127 heck make them all legal, why not just tax them all its the persons fault if he got addicted

  • Americans are finally beginning to understand the state of their country.

  • i thought that most black people that go to jail go for possession or selling and the white people who use it go to rehab

  • You know why americans don't care about other countries or what they think or works for them? Because you raise your kids on "Americuuuh! FUCK YEAH! BEST CUNTRY EVAAR!" and then wonder how so many of them can't tell Australia from France on a bloody map, or think that Europe is a country or some other dumb crap.

  • @grimordwow

Your being very little minded by thinking that way.

As you can see you're watching some very intelligent Americans that aren't screaming "AMERICAAAA!"

Most people in America KNOW we have problems......if we thought we didn't have problems you wouldn't either.

And when it comes to kids, no ones raised to not love there country so what would you expect?

And America's the first Country to come to the Aid of others.

I didn't see any other country helping Haiti or Japan?

  • @joi12345678 First off, I didn't say it was all americans who think that way, but you know, in general, US citizens are pretty ignorant about other countries. Some might argue they're "stupid" - I just call it bad education policy, as I think a good education requires people to learn about world history properly. And... What? You're saying you guys are aware of other countries but think no one else helped Japan or Haiti? Seriously? Both got money and rescue workers from all over...

  • @grimordwow Well it's not even the Majority of Americans.

And you shouldn't be so quick to critize someone elses country when your country isn't perfect what so ever.

  • @joi12345678 That doesn't even make sense. My country isn't perfect so I'm not allowed to criticize another? Following that logic, people from the US shouldn't be criticizing Middle Eastern countries for their lack of democracy? You don't have to go on the defensive just because someone criticizes. Instead try to assert whether or not the person is right, and if so, try to act upon it? After all, what's the point of being patriotic if you're not willing to change what's wrong?

  • @grimordwow Your allowed to do what ever you want I said you "Shouldn't critize"

    And your exactly right.

"People from the US shouldn't critize Middle Eastern Countries for their lack of democracy."

    So you've made my point.

You shouldn't critize other countries if yours isn't perfect.

It makes all the sense in the world.

  • @grimordwow you shouldn't try to spin your resentment into righteousness, you come off looking stupid :)

  • @joi12345678 Continuing my previous post: "Japan Earthquake Relief: Help Comes From More Than 100 Countries " piece from the Huffington Post. It's a news outlet from your own country too, and it mentions some of the countries and what they sent to help. Just google it and you'll find plenty of information. And yes, people are raised to be patriotic, but there's a difference between "I'm proud of my country" and "We're better than anyone else". Happy holidays.

  • @grimordwow You're assuming that it matters where Australia or France are located. Just kiddin' ya my friend. I live here and it's amazing how many people here are simply livestock... by choice. Your statement is a bit of an over stating of the situation. Admittedly, we have far more than out share of morons. The culture here seems to encourage delusion over reality... self promotion over self sacrifice. Funds are constantly being drained from education... simple locic fortold these results.

  • @grimordwow Why are non-americans so preoccupied with purely domestic policy in the USA?? Why is their self-esteem so predicated on the US paying attention to them? Why is causal bigotry towards the US allowed??

  • @Moionfire Because people from other countries actually care and know about other countries' politics, which if coming from big countries tend to be reflected on them. And how is my interest in politics related to my self-esteem? You're the one who seems to have issues since you feel like you gotta go on the defensive as soon as someone criticizes your country. And bigotry? Really? Please, think about the ignorant shit you folks say about other countries and try again.

  • @grimordwow Caring about world politics is different than being preoccupied with it or worse being supercilious and obsessive about it. I follow French politics since I can read French, but I am not obsessed with France. Neither do I get angry when France goes in a different direction than the US or any country and is indifferent to policies around the world. I don't take it as a personal insult.

  • @Moionfire Erm, I just stated something everyone from any nation will tell you: Americans don't know world history and are pretty ignorant of other countries and their cultures, religions and history, and that because your education system has been made to promote America-Is-The-Best-Country-EVER! since the Cold War (mostly). So, what exactly was that offensive? Because I said it in a humorous way? O_o

  • @grimordwow I don't want to get into a dragged out youtube "debate." The point still remains people hide behind "caring" about world politics as a cover up to explain their obsession that has nothing to do with it. Americans are no more ignorant of the world than Canadians. Not many Canadians or Europeans can have extended conversations about the politics or cultures of southeast Asia. Neither do they care.

  • @Moionfire People hide behind caring to care about caring? What the fuck? Where did you see an obsession? Just because I made a point that you didn't like? You're a living-breathing example of how the education system in the US has failed its children. You're so obsessed with yourself and your own country you immediately assume a foreign who keeps up with world news is obsessed with the US? Seriously, you're delusional.

  • @grimordwow it's very dumb of you to stereotype every single american into one "ignorant" category.

  • @ladybugmalibu It's very dumb of you to be offended, for I didn't say "all americans".

If you still want to feel sad and offended then go on ahead.

  • @grimordwow not offended, lol. i love being a citizen of this diverse country. we have things to fix, sure, however there's some things that people like yourself do not understand. so good luck as you allow yourself to open your eyes to the real problems we all have as a global community.

  • @grimordwow Yuropes Not a cuntry?

  • Yes, it worked pretty well for us in Portugal. The Netherlands also had positive results with similar measures.

  • I don't wanna watch four people agreeing. I want to see at least one person who disagrees and puts the opposite point.

  • I give a crap about people in Mexico. My good friend, Gerardo Lopez, was grabbed randomly off the street by drug cartel members who took him out in the dessert and filled him with bullets as a "game." RIP Gera.

  • It's probably the only reason to vote for Ron, you get change whether good or bad.

With Obama or the Republicans you get no Change, just another shill and more corrupted assholes on the right wing party.

Yeah I don't like some policies of Ron either, but at least with him you know things are going to change. And we need even just a little bit of change in a good and bad way.

So unfortunately since there is no Progressive candidate (Obama never was)for me to vote for instead I'll vote for Ron.

  • Shira Lazar is the new host is hot also loving the new channel.

  • Also, I'm rolling weed right now while listening to this, it's very fitting.

  • Richard Branson is one of my heroes, the dude is amazing.

  • Reiterating what I said on TYT's channel when Cenk said he likes Paul on civil liberties, I'm saying again that I disagree. Paul has no support for individual liberties on at least two very major things that instantly come to mind that cause me to disagree: he doesn't support abortion rights, and he thinks states should have the right to ban acts of sodomy.

  • @FuryFlurry1

I think it was that he personally doesn't like abortion or Sodomy, but in the end he does say that the state should decide that not him.

Regardless I don't think that states saying what is right like that should be the norm.

If one bigoted south state says, hey segregation isn't so bad, lets reinstate it. while others stick with human rights like they should. It kinda fails people in those states.

I don't like that about Ron Paul, I agree.

But we need some kind of real change.

  • Who knew, Shira Lazar was actually smart. Why on earth does she waste her time interviewing the likes of Ray William Johnson?

  • The death toll in Mexico is actually higher than 50k, easy.

  • Look at "Fast and Furious", To decriminalize drugs would be a disaster for the Elite in our country, namely government agencies who are Making a fortune off of keeping drugs illegal, keeping street prices high, and then individual states make a huge profit off of keeping drug offenders in jail or prison. The War on drugs is clearly highly effective if they would spend 50billion on it, the return must be insane! The next time you chop up a line, thank your government for it!!!
