The first time I got to this part, I wanted to wait a second before using Omnislash... Sephiroth attacked, I countered. I cried for 15 minutes. Then I equipped the buster sword before battling bizzaro sephiroth and had to get through safer sephiroth before using Omnislash on Sephiroth. It just seemed right to use the buster sword on the last battle rather than the Ragnarok (I forgot to steal the Ultima Weapon from Ultimate Weapon... that is how you get it, right?).
I will admit the first time I got to Safer Sephiroth...I equipped the buster sword for Cloud. I didn't know about this fight until it came up...I do not regret de-equipping the ultima sword for that.
Don't know why...it just seemed like a good way to end it. Zack started it and Cloud ended it - With the same weapon.

This is what they should have done with this battle: 1. Both Cloud and Sephiroth have 1 HP 2. Cloud will always switch to the Buster Sword 3. All 15 (?) slashes do 9999 damage. It's still cool as is, but you have to admit, that would be pretty awsome... I guess what do you think?
@SuperForzee the guy probably just kept Cloud to the lowest level by just keeping him dead but by boosting everyone else... the only part in the game where you wander around with Cloud is usually at the beggining of the game... most of the time after that, you can boost the other characters to end the game with a two-man cell... or two-women cell, whatever makes your fancy

Either you kill him with omnislash, or he almost kills you and you counter-kill him.

First of all, you always have Omnislash in this battle, regardless of level or how many limit breaks you learned throughout the game. However, it's totally possible to learn Omnislash while keeping Cloud's level at 8. Just kill him off before finishing the battle with someone else. This isn't exactly rocket science.
@PointlessVideos4Life But can you kill the 600 enemies it takes to learn the second limit in all the limit levels? Then use the the other Limit the required 10 times(might not sound like a lot) to get to the next Level?
Just asking, if that CAN be done? I wouldn't know never took the time to think about it. Also Cloud would have to be dead, throughout most of the game as well...
@jacobeterry Other than the last battle, the only other fight that cloud does alone is against rufus, and I don't think you get any exp or ap because rufus doesn't actually die.
I'm a huge FFVII fan and stuff, but I have to ask something I've always wondered: Are the character models in this fight better than a regular fight? They look so much cleaner and smoother.

Why can't they make games like this anymore?:( I mean, FFVII had the most epic storyline in the whole franchise if you ask me. There was a personal vendetta against the main bad guy. impossible to die i dont get it i have fought him and he attacked me when i wait a bit (NOW NOTE THAT I HAVE THE 9999 LIMIT BREAK) he attacked me and does around 25500 (problably i hade counter attck and beat him without omnislash lol) so why its impossible?

Sephiroth's attack depletes 31/32ths of Cloud's HP. Sephiroth's script then sets Cloud as SELF and administers an attack. For this battle, you have no materia, so the counter attack materia is irrelevant.
I know this because I mod the game, and I've read / decompiled Sephiroth's AI script. Hope that helps.

It doesn't matter what you do. Last time I got this far, I wanted to see what would happen if I didn't do a thing. With the Ultima Weapon equipped, I did nothing, Sephiroth hit Cloud for more than his max health (wtf?), and after Cloud countered for zero damage [lol cloud r teh suk], Seph was rolling about in his usual death motions. And I only used the Buster Sword because I'm demented like that

sephiroth actually has 0 HP at the start of the battle and will die if hit with any attack, even if it does no damage

impossible to die i dont get it i have fought him and he attacked me when i wait a bit (NOW NOTE THAT I HAVE THE 9999 LIMIT BREAK) he attacked me and does around 25500 (problably i hade counter attck and beat him without omnislash lol) so why its impossible?

@PointlessVideos4Life it is beacause i had add a patch in my ffvii that makes the limit from 9999 to 30000 (wich makes the game harder and easier)and so with this patch sephirot maked around 25500 i will send later a video to prove

Sephiroth's attack depletes 31/32ths of Cloud's HP. Sephiroth's script then sets Cloud as SELF and administers an attack. For this battle, you have no materia, so the counter attack materia is irrelevant.
I know this because I mod the game, and I've read / decompiled Sephiroth's AI script. Hope that helps.

@kyubisora123 People choose the Buster Sword because it means a lot to us. It's because it was Zack's and everyone loves Zack. I never changed from the Buster Sword the entire game and used th Knights of the Round materia to defeat Seph and BEAT HIM.

Because that entire battle took a whole disc to make, lol. Seriously, there is like...no difference between disc 2 and 3 except the ending movie and north crater. That amount of detail for the time was like constipation to make, lol

It doesn't matter what you do. Last time I got this far, I wanted to see what would happen if I didn't do a thing. With the Ultima Weapon equipped, I did nothing, Sephiroth hit Cloud for more than his max health (wtf?), and after Cloud countered for zero damage [lol cloud r teh suk], Seph was rolling about in his usual death motions. And I only used the Buster Sword because I'm demented like that
