Separating the server from the players machines means that the load of calculating all player interactions within a game are not restricted by the network or capabilities of a host players computer (and more often a server is built with better hardware on a faster network).

Dedicated servers also allow owners to administrate the server, which allows clan and community based gameplay.

Dedicated servers mean we, the admins and programmers, can change however we want the gameplay to be. If we wanna have low gravity with faster sprites and it takes 3 knife slices to kill an opponent, then that's what we'll construct.

You faggots don't know hacks unless you've been on an unprotected CS 1.6 server. And if you haven't noticed yet, everyone has the same ability and same weapon with infinite ammo. EVERYONE.

@DeepakPawndU Sorry dude but no one on the PC plays MW2 anymore, including me, this was a couple of months back (when he invited me). If you want to play with those mods, you could always download them yourself (just google mw2 mods). Also, if you want to level up, you can do it by editing your rank text file on your computer (not hacking, will not get banned) all you need to do is export it and edit it using a program, google how to do this as well. Its not hacking and you wont get banned.
