Once 'Skate' came out, there really wasn't any reason to pick up Tony Hawk's again. Me and every other skater I know feel exactly the same way, the control mechanic is just ancient, clunky and unintuitive.

@FistedByTrisha I'd play THPS2 over any Skate game anyday, but I agree that Skate has taken the throne over Tony Hawk games now. TH series went downhill. Anyone even bother with that "RIDE" crap? On a side note, the Skate series already pretty whored out it seems. There are already THREE!

Call of Duty, the first two were great, since then it went downhill.

Guitar Hero, the first three were great, then it went downhill.

Tony Hawk's, the first four were great, then it went downhill.

Pity they lost what the series was about to cash in on it every single year. I don't even like skateboarding as a rule but THPS2 was a fantastic game. No 3 was still decent but a bit fast and it went downhill from there.

I spent days with this game in my youth, one of the first games I really enjoyed, and it also introduced me to a world of awesome music too! (rage against the machine, papa roach etc)

I loved the series up to Project 8 (havent played proving ground, yet) and I dont care for all that "Ride" crap.

THPS3, 4, THUG, and THUG2 were cream of the crop games. 1 & 2 along with P8 and PG were alright. THAW and Sk8land were fun, but still felt limited. RIDE and SHRED is like taking Tony Hawk and turning it into a 25 cent ride on toy.

it's a shame that tony hawk is now limited to a crappy motion control, if they want the series to come back they should try either making an other version of the free roam games or do some HD remakes of there originals.

@LovezHD Exactly, but if they do the second Underground, they need to add a lot more missions. I beat that game within 5 hours. The first Underground was my favorite because it was longer and because it was a lot more fun.
