Hearing Rachel's story saved my life. today we saw this in school (someone from the Rachel's Challenge came to our school) they asked us to close our eyes to answer a few questions. The whole idea of Rachel's Challenge is utterly ridiculous. Do you really expect logical people to believe that she is some sort of prophetess with her crying eyes and 13 tears onto a rose and suddenly they are blood drops because they are dripping? I guess every tween that wants to make a difference and does pointless garbage like trace their hand or right a paper called, "Who Am I?" or something like that is a prophet(ess) now. Got it.
Rachel's brother came to my highschool yesterday and gave a two hour speech. It was so sad. I cried alot. At the end I gave him a hug and told him how sorry I was. It was such a tragic day. :(

You can't control what other people, do, no...but you CAN influence it. Just the way the shooters were influenced by the bully's cruelty and became hateful (not to say that they are innocent or aren't responsible for their actions), some kindness will have great influence on others. If it were not for the many people who supported and loved me during my troubled childhood, I probably wouldn't be the gentle person I am today.
RC came to my school and what made no sense to me is how they said that only kindness can bring the biggest reaction. And I was talking to my friend and said "If Columbine had not happend, then there wouldn't BE RC." The "tragedy" itslef caused the biggest reaction. I admire Eric and Dylan for opening our eyes to things, no matter how many kids where killed that day in 1999.

Rachel seems like she was such a beautiful, and kind soul, it's a too bad her life was cut short by such senseless violence. I'm glad to see that out of their personal tragedy her family is taking the message of compassion and acceptance to others in schools across America.
