  • the 6 dislikers will be crowbared in the head by mr freeman aka gordon freeman

  • This is a mix example on a fruity pro loops studios, i dont remember the version

  • @oroblanco123 Version 3.

  • Fake or not, it sounds pretty cool to me. Somebody should remix it into a full song, if they can :D

  • This sounds better for HL1 than for HL2.

  • is there a longer version?

  • The song plays during HL2 just before you get the jeep. When you come to the house with combines and resistance fighting.

  • but listening to it again... maybe if they made a better version of it? maybe it could have worked?

  • nooo, it can't be true... D:

  • Even if it isn't related to HL2 it's still a badass theme.

  • Best 36 seconds of my live!!!!!

  • Wonder if anyone is thinking of "remixing" this...

  • Every people in youtube are trolls shit

  • nice theme. sadly like most of Half Life's greatest tracks it's kind of short.

  • The Artist is: The VALVe Corporation

  • Where can I find a full version of this?

    Anyone know?

  • It's from one of the old versions of Fruity Loops, I think version 3.6.

  • @NoPetrol You are bang on the money. When I "leaked" the "alpha soundtrack" I just picked a random song from fruityloops from my Pentium 1.

  • @Slikhedgehog hey uh what are you saying exactly? are you the one who made half-life 2's 'alpha' soundtrack? and also i really like this song so if you know its from fruity loops could you really help me out and point out the title of it on fruity loops so i could possibly find it on youtube if someone has ever posted it? then i could find the full version.. thx if you can help

  • @RetardedAndRandomTV I "distributed" the fake alpha soundtrack.

There was no full version, but it's from fruityloops. It's an old song (and I have the original around here somewhere). Originally it was some kind of test song done in an early version of fruityloops that came standard with the demo, possibly version 3 or 4. I will find it and post it on my profile if I have the time.

The title is vague in my mind, something like "getting there" or "along the way".

  • @RetardedAndRandomTV Yeah I was the one. It's from an early version, I don't recall the exact one, it was on a pc demo desk, approximately FL Studio 3 or 4.

  • i heared this song on a game for sega genesis

  • This is one of the old demo songs that came with Fruityloops a few years ago.

  • hey O: i actually downloaded HL2 Leak Music xD something like that o.o and theres one file called "Half-Life 2 Leak Theme" and artist is Valve Software ^^ but it doesnt have to be correct.. maybe Viktor Anotov from Valve made it since he made "Path of Borealis" song :]

  • where did u get this? xD and why do u call its hl2 alpha sound track? @.@

  • forgive my nuber, i ment with a m....

Whit these trully other AXIS corrupt PATHETIC Gay-man comments, too. I believe???!!! I mean? Now, i thought i was some kinda possessed from G-man?!! No!!? Cant, be? LOL.... Its just a Half-Life myth....Nothing seriously.XD

  • Comment removed

  • I was some dizzy mod, i think!? I dont really remeber, why i dont fit it right VERB on a wrong place....Can make all, the difference in the world.......?!

  • Kinda sounds like a midi...

  • This would sound bad in HL2

  • Okay, one more time.

The original uploader was on a Half-Life 2 forum, who claimed this was the beta soundtrack. Before it had a chance to actually be proven wrong, it squirmed its way onto YouTube.

It's been called the "alpha" and "beta" soundtrack, but in reality, it had NOTHING to do with the beta, other than a couple remixes of the release songs.

I've asked Mr. Antonov on his site. HE IS A CONCEPTUAL DESIGNER, NOT MUSICIAN OR COMPOSER.

Get your facts straight. Look up his site, ask.

  • sounds better IMO(please, dont thumb me down)

  • of course, not. XD. Half-Life 2, is one of my best games ever played.

  • Yeah it sure is

  • you are on of the best number 1 fan of Half-Life 2...Indeed.

  • Comment removed

  • Your famous.....Nuber one best fan...Not on? What did i mean with on?

  • This is from Half life 2 Alpha since its in 2001 and half life 2 is alpha and 2003 is half life 2 beta try downloading alpha instead of beta but you cant download alpha i think the alpha looks kinda better than anon beta or russian beta

  • You are full of shit, and lots of it.

This is not from the leak, nor is it from any of Valve's game. What is MB?

"HL2beta cannot even handle very most of computers"

You are so wrong it's unbelievable. I've given the beta to people with ancient computers, and they ran the beta just fine. Hell, I've read about people who run the retail version of HL2 on 6 year old PCs.

There is no alpha, nor is there a beta. There is only a leak, and one leak at that. Beta was the name given by the community.

  • @TheCraziestMonkey

I was waiting patiently for your input, since you know much more than most of the people here about the leak. :D

  • Yes, I just couldn't hold back any longer after viewing the comment I replied to.

I probably should have been more professional about it though.

  • Slikhedgehog is right. I remember using Fruityloops once.

This song brought back those memories.

  • sounds like the intro to Yes man =D

i would like this is my Ring tone

  • This song just brings me back to the time i read Half Life:2 Rasing the bar

    "Mr.freeman"

the first gman scene was going to be epic

but it still cant be done ... with mapping .. well if it can it must be hard

:the one where it shows a stream ... and then you hear birds .. see trees ... but then .. it happens the birds stop chirping river turns black ... then dyes up then you see the city ... you see explosions:. and that all im going to read for you

  • This song is from an early version of Fruityloops!

  • IRRELEVANT MEME IS A LIE.

    STFU.

  • Man,This has catchyness and fittingness in the bag,but Hazardous Environments has epicness.

  • Please keep in mind people, that the very early stages of Half-Life 2 (Alpha so called), originally ran on the GoldSrc Engine (HL1 Engine), and was slightly intended to be as corny as Half-Life 1 music. Soon later, Valve realized that games were growing much more modern, and changes needed to be made. Extreme changes were made to Half-Life 2. Also, these songs I've uploaded have been confirmed HL2 "Alpha" songs from a Hl2 Beta community forum.

  • Sorry for answering late, but...

Wasn't it a primitive version of the Source Engine?

Like the map of Get Your Free TV'S! was on an early source engine, only using the HL HUD.

  • Yeah, the TVs thing was a version of Source just before the HL2 beta leak. However, there was a version between the two that was used in the E3 demonstrations. Have you seen some beta stuff? if not, look some up. Its pretty good stuff.

  • Yeah, I've seen a lot of the beta stuff, and the TV's thing was made in like 2001, and the version of the E3 demonstrations was the same engine of the uploaded Leak, just that the Leak was incomplete because the developers isolated their computers from the rest of the world before the copy of the game was complete, that explains the missing textures, models, maps and coding(ie. the leaked e3_phystown)

  • "get Your Free TV'S!" was the earliest playable map on Source

And Hl2 (Beta) ran Gldscr on steroids

And ... Rest In Peace ENV_terraignmorph.

  • I don't think so, GyfTV'S ran in an early Source eng., remember that they created the engine from scratch whitout any influence from the GoldSrc engine(except sprites and the HL fgd in the earliest development stages), it was just that in that year it worked in a similar way to the other engine.

  • Think about it , shaders , textures , scripts , sounds

it was practically GldSrc on steroids

think about gldsrc is source 0.0

the GyFTV's source was like source 0.2

we have source 2.0 i liked Src 1.5.

  • or in vmf terms, city_test01,2,3, and 4

  • i agree Firstpersonshootafan they made this but this is cut so they can improve the MB instead they put stuff to HL2 they will put it on L4D and TF2,Portal DOD:S at least they can make the new games instead making MB more higher the reason why its cut because MB Is too much and HL2beta cannot even handle very most of computers but retail HL2 cannot even handle some of computers like intel,ATI Integerated,Nvidia integerated.

  • @Firstpersonshootafan yep and it had no ragdolls!

  • @gmodfan11

    What?

  • @Firstpersonshootafan It was thwe same as Half life 1. the bodys were not floppy and used death animations instead

  • @Firstpersonshootafan Are you sure this is a beta? looks like a remix

  • @Firstpersonshootafan It sounds like half life 2 alpha/beta :O

  • @Firstpersonshootafan Also keep in mind that this might just be a fake. Because in terms of music history, or in this case, electronic music history, this song would be under Electro-House. And because this is claimed to be the earlier version of the Half-Life 2 Alpha (the one that ran on GoldSrc), that would be this is pre-2001 atleast. Now if you know your EDM history, Electro-House didn't show up until 2004, if not a little earlier. So most likely, this isn't related to Half-Life in anyway.

  • @mantax55 It's a fruityloops 3 mix song. I was responsible for leaking the whole "alpha soundtrack" anyway and I have the originals to prove it although a lot of stubborn people seem to think that this style is "totally Kelly Bailey" despite the fact that Future Retro from Animusic and a bunch of OC Remix / Fruityloops songs sound nothing like VALVe material. A lot of people seem to blame the fact that the game was "in early stages and so the music might be temporary".

  • No way it's any relation to half life, or half life beta. It sounds like it was from a old Sonic game. (I'm not a fan of Sonic)

  • @eth102 That's because it's from Fruityloops 3.

  • no offense but it aint since i have that song and thats not halflife theme mate =) good guess tho

  • Would you care to say what is it is, then?

  • the cake is a lie

  • omg i saw that :D

  • phil collins?

  • doodod do do dooo doo awesome its futureistic and retro at the same time it would be great in a very short hl2 music video

  • Why is everybody so emo about this?

  • This is a song from an early version of "Fruityloops", it is not from VALVe Software or in any way affiliated with Half-Life 2.

  • by god! He's right!!

  • It isn't in present day Half-Life 2. It was in the leaked Half-Life 2 Beta music archive.

  • @Firstpersonshootafan The song is fake, as are many others in the so called Alpha OST.

  • @Marbas777 It's not in the retail you idiot, the title clearly says ALPHA.

...How do people with this low IQ get internet?...

  • @Metalsonic2008 Look who's talking. You think this is an actual Leak song lol.

  • @EndreVanan Well personally I think this is a leak song, nonetheless it rocks.

  • @Marbas777 there is no grammar in your post lol its crap!!!! i h8 it >8(

  • fucking sweet, why didnt they use it in HL2? and i dont mean as a theme, themes is oldschool superhero BS.

  • I have this as well, its cool. It sounds like a gaming lobby or something :P

  • Uhm...

  • Yes, this is the original Half-Life 2 Theme song. I never thought so when I found it.

  • I wonder why they got rid of it

  • Probably because it sounds too calm or outdated, but that's just my guess.

  • Probably. Sounds to "future retro".

  • Sorry. What I meant to say is that it sounds a little low-quality compared to the rest of the songs in HL2 and it's probably too peppy to be the main theme since HL2 never has peppy main themes. But believe me, this song kicks ass.

  • sorry lol i like it..but yeah sounds like it would be in hl1..90's tech

  • It's not from Half-Life 2.
