True, but they didn't say anything necessarily for this ad. They were likely samples from various pre-existing shows. Notice none of them say "Burger King."
One of the reasons I stopped eating out wasn't because of health (even though that should have been the reason) but because every place continues to increase their prices, and they're not giving you anymore than what they had before. What you see here is exactly the same food you get now. And now it's even LESS. You don't get Supersized and Big Macs arent big anymore. You're getting charged more for less during a recession. Burger King is horrible about their pricing, Wendy's too.
This is one promotion I don't remember as well. Then again, I might have had one of those cups. I vaguely remember having a cup with Orko wearing off of it.
You remember He-Man S2M? did you had any of the figures, watched the show, had some merchandise, saw the MOTU live-action Lundgren movie and even watched She-Ra? i did and boy She-Ra had tons of hotties especially my childhood dreamgirl Adora.
@Johnlindsey289 I used to watch He-Man, but very casually. I mean, it wasn't a can't miss show for me. I was more into Real Ghostbusters, and early on, Thundercats. My earliest weekday afternoon memories from before the days of Tiny Toons were of Thundercats, reruns of Batman (Adam West), and, way back, reruns of the Monkees. Don't remember what else. He-Man was on a different channel, but I think I tried to catch that regularly too, and Turtles, which I liked a bit more but still never obsessed
@Johnlindsey289 As for the toys, nah, I didn't collect them. I was pretty strictly into Star Wars and Disney toys as a kid. It was hard enough to get that stuff out of my parents, ha, so I stuck with it and didn't get too involved with the other stuff, though there were toys I wanted, but not so much the He-Man ones. Honestly, as a kid I was turned off by how weird a lot of the characters were on He-Man; same with Turtles. Weirder than Star Wars to me for some reason I guess, ha.
@Johnlindsey289 No Thundercats. I don't even recall seeing any toys of them, or else I would have wanted them probably. Transformers when I was a kid were pretty expensive toys, especially the big ones, which were made of metal back then. I had two big ones and two little ones. The little one I had was Bumblebee because he was my fave, but he was poorly made. One arm broke off right away, and when I exchanged it for a new one, it happened again. Also had a flying saucer character...
@Johnlindsey289 Of the large ones I had Skyfire and the tape recorder (whose name I forget) with the little bird tape cassette that would come out. That was a pretty cool one! I didn't keep these because they were so beat up that I finally got rid of them a year or so ago, ha.
@Johnlindsey289 I also didn't like the size difference of the toys. I was used to the Star Wars figure size, and I hated that figures were being made larger for other subjects, because I liked them to interact with the figures I already had. I did eventually get 5 Ninja Turtle figs many years later, ha (3 of them were April). Never any He-man figs though. I would buy new style figs, or even better, sculptures, of Teela and She-Ra if I found them though. But I don't recall ever watching She-Ra.
@Johnlindsey289 I actually don't remember Adora. I did like Teela, and probably She-Ra. I remember very little about the show or characters though. I just remember they redid the show on Cartoon Network at some point, and I preferred the girls there even more. I've never seen the Lundgren movie, though I hear it is totally different. I can say honestly though that I have never been into the warrior woman thing. I'm more into the more girly girls, like Disney's or Anime schoolgirls, ha.
My big brother and i used to have a couple of these. We had all of the MOTU Toys along with all the Transformers, G.I. Joe, Silverhawks and Ghostbusters toys as well.
Orko in this commercial sounded like Loo-Kee from She-Ra, noticed that? I think Hordak was on these cups. Do you think Hordak was the most badass of the MOTU galaxy bad guys, i had him with his horde troops. Did you ever had a crush on Teela, Sorceress, Adora, Glimmer, Catra, Frosta, Mermista and Peekablue as a kid too like me?
No shit pal, they were boyhood crushes of mine. But what do you think of Frosta, Evil-Lyn, Catra, Sorceress, Glimmer and Mermista, hot too? let's not forget that Skeletor and Horde-Prime were awesome too. Do you remember the Secret of the Sword and live-action 1987 movies as well?
I was 4 years old when these cups came out and i'm a MOTU fan, i also had nearly all the toys of MOTU, those cups, rented and taped the animated He-Man/She-Ra movie with Christmas special and even saw the original MOTU live-action movie back in 1987 at 5. I also loved that MOTU 2002 was an awesome remake series and made good Mcdonald toys.
I used to have some of those. I was a huge He-Man fan as a kid and I remember always begging my mom to take me to Burger King just so I could get them.
I remember these. It seems like back in the day they had way better kids meals. Now when ever my son gets one they are always giving a cheap toy away. Except maybe Mc Donalds.
i like burger king and kids club meals but burger king is called hungry jacks in my country (Australia) of course people without internet could tell that hungry jacks was burger king in Australia becuase on the wraping it said burger king croppreacone
Yeah, but they were actually different cups because they were from McDonalds because mine came with a Happy Meal. I got mine like in 1985 if I'm correct.
The Burger King King is really King Randor. Times are tough, even for Eternia's royals.

@Johnlindsey289 Well, Hordak was certainly a cooler looking villain than Skeletor. I always thought that Teela and Adora were pretty hot.
