  • Beautiful Mixed Woman

    Definitely not just African

  • This woman looks white! She can pass for white!

  • OMG i dont think i have ever seen another biracial person who is as light as me and has hair like mine until now!! I am so thankful to you for giving me this gift!!

  • @vapid1000 I disagree.

  • Yeah some mulattos do look 100% white, that's why it annoys me when people say Mulattoes are just black

  • @ambientclouds Yeah, Jennifer Beals and Rashida Jones look white. However, I feel that many biracial people are so obsessed with looking and being accepted as white in society.

  • @Thedarksecret1

Well why wouldnt they, after all alot of them are very fairskinned with red blonde and brown as well as black hair, and they tend to have more caucasian features then people who are just or mostly black ancestry

  • @gatheringleaves Point taken.

  • wow she could pass!

  • It's not really a big deal, alot of us can, I can't personally but some of relatives could

  • @ambientclouds yeah but you don't see alot of people who could pass as white own up to thier mixed heritege.

  • Yes it is rare but anything's possible in the world in my view

  • Evelyn could honestly be considred white. If I saw her in the street I wouldn't have even though that she was half black. Seriously, she could pass.

  • Yeah alot of them can and did back in the old days when racial segregation was enforced

  • ALL Biracials/ mulattos are WHITE people, its NOT genetically or biologically possible for White and other non-black African women to have a ''Black'' child, even if one parent is black ,the child will still ALWAYS be white caucasoid, because the white gene is recessively dominant over the black gene, so the dominant black gene is switched off, this is a WHITE woman in the video; biracials have the black phenotype,(some black features/ some melanin), but their still WHITE people.

  • @july95211

I disagree. Try passing as white because of your skin tone but being treated like you are not white enough because of your facial features. Racists breaking into your home and painting their symbols. White people treating you like shit and expecting you to just do nothing back meanwhile giving an instant stamp of approval to the next person who is blonde haired, blue eyes and more caucasian features.

People are still really nit picky and there is no pass.

  • @Sashaeharmony , ANYTHING mixed is a coloured caucasoid, you can't create a black person from racemixing, black Africans are NOT a mixed race, the caucasoid race is a ''mixed'' sub-species , because ALL non- blacks are part - Neanderthal, (you can google that), there is NO such thing as white, the lightest Caucasoids are the MOST mixed, and the MOST recessive, the ''Coloured Caucasoid is the so- called Indian, Asian,Latino, mulato, biracial, creole, , Arab, Ethiopian, Somalian and so on.

  • Wow are you serious, do people in America really treat white skinned mulattos like black people because of their slightly African Facial Features? Wow that is so retarded, I find that hard to believe

  • @Sashaeharmony

Actually there is, I believe, my features are not very African, and not all white people have blonde hair and blue eyes, what about Italians, Sicilians, and Greeks, they are for the most part not blonde and blue eyed yet still considered white

  • she so could pass for white :) I'm not surprised, we've got allot of variety

  • damn...she looks white

  • If you want to see a lot of mulatos come to brazil here have a lot im a exemple too

  • Evie can pass for white. In older days she would have kept her id secret and melted into the white community like many did.

  • so you see biracials are not just light skinned blacks like everyone thinks

Some look that way but some do not

  • MANY biracial people come out looking white. They have just as good a chance of that as any other look. I have known several biracial people that look bone white

  • Not usually.

  • Yeah, in your dreams

  • I am so sorry to say that Effie does not look bi-racial at all. Nothing gives it away. Usually the facial features, skin colour, hair and body type tell of the African racial heritage but she does not have any of the "giveaway" characteristics. I haven't seen the body though. Is it that her father was bi-racial and she just referred to him as black because compared to her mother who is white, he was considered black?.

  • my mother is black,, from jamaica... my father is white,, i came out lookin near enuff as white as her.. color is random,,, theres a man,, who thoght he was black,,and he turned out to be more europian and indan,, and asian,, but 0 percent african..,, and he looked black like 50 cent,, explain that

  • I did not mention only colour.I am not fixated on colour as a determination of racial appearance. I also mentioned body type, hair texture, and facial features.Nose, mouth and sometimes eyes.I still say one can hardly tell that Effie is half African. Sorry, but no matter how you spin it with your colour fixations you can't deny the fact that biracial people carry around HALF of the self hated AFRICAN genes. I feel so sorry for you'll. You will be African till your last breath.

  • You will never be able to erase that African gene. It's in you.

  • OH MY GOSH! im not saying i dont carry around african genes. what i am saying is what u consider to be african isnt always strictkly african... altho my skin is light and my hair is quite str8,,, i eccept my african heritage,,,more than some dumb so called black people who dont want to eccept that the first europian cave dwellers were black... just becase they were cave dwellers.... white and black and asian and indian,, all started from aficans.. so some share the features still. eccept that

  • Uh no, we will be HALF African until our last breath, dumbass

  • There is a lost tribe of black in India, you know. Look it up on youtube.

  • She looks olive.

  • Wow! She really looks WHITE! I don't think I've every really thought that about anyone else you have interviewed before.

  • "Lucky"? shut the fuck up

  • i said the same thing too tiff 19 yr old jew marry a 30 yr old catholic lol that is a lot of controversy

  • I am I the only one who thinks it is ironic that Leona Lewis is playing in the background? LOL I was too distracted to watch the video at first.

  • Groovy, my mama's mama is named Evelyn!!

  • Tiffany, please help me find an old video of yours when you talk about when you were trying out for a play and you didn't know the Amen song . I looked through all the archives and can't find it. Could you please tell me what # it was?

  • hi. that was #60 who is black. glad you're enjoying the vids. thanks for watching!

  • Thanks for the vid. Thanks for interviewing people from a variety of hues, backgrounds, and experiences. Evie's story was quite interesting!!! I like your interviews and look forward to more. Do you think you might interview mixed couples sometime ?

  • Tiffany, it was way too much noise in the background!!!

  • i have been watching alot of videos on related subject matter, and have come across quite a few with biracial people saying that when they were younger they were ashamed of their 'black side' or people would ridicule them for being black, even my peruvian friend told me that he was taught to marry white to 'better the race' WTF man, i dont get why people think its dirty , bad and low to be black!!! There is nothing WRONG with us!!!!

  • for many years there werent many positive black or tanned men and women that were very positive or beautiful on the big screen to look up to or even toys. I am 24 years old Dominican but my mom looks white and my dad looks white. SO even though they are both Dominican I am biracial and I went through the same thing as child, there was no one to look up to like all other white kids, who had actors and toys to go into fantasy play with, so we were left out

  • We are all taught things which are untrue, some being intentional and some implied. No race/culture is immune to colorism and caste systems, and the same thing goes within the Peruvian social structure. Race and class does not really define who you are as a human being, but society tells us so. Some people wake up from the matrix, some do not.

  • omg, ! what a wonderful reply, thank you! I totally agree.... especially that we are living in the matrix, now more than ever. thank u for understanding .

  • If you google, 'pbs brown eye blue eye' and watch the video, you'll learn how easy it is to create the social construct. If this video doesn't make you think, nothing will.

  • I have seen that too, a young lady I know said she forgets she has "black in her"...I am biracial and funnily enough I am more connected to and proud of my black heritage...but maybe that's because of the level of racism I have incurred at the hands of some white people???

  • mee to and i look very light wih str8 hair. it says somethin about the racism in the uk i think... most racism i got was fom my own bloody family... when i was a todler in the 80s i lived in closer vecinity with my white family, all i got from them was racial remarks and other worst shit,, then when i was more inviolved with my black family, noo matta how light my skin was they were so ecceptiing, made me feel like family, now my white family dont even chat to me.. wont even look me in my eye.

  • It's interesting that all human beings were black until around 60,000 years ago when people first migrated out of Africa, which isn't that long ago really in terms of the age of the planet. That's only 2,000 generations ago.

  • In my case if this wasnt America ... I wouldnt tell people I am just black. My mom is mixed but thinks of herself is black. My father id daker skined. and me I am just Jewish

  • it would be a great idea if you can make a video cause you are answering my question

  • this is all b/c of where they lived and people around them. People might see a Jew from Yemin and think they are black.

WHen I say black I mean a convert a person of color from the US whos parents r of color

  • when I say back and Jewish... I say this meaning in the world people see me and they think o this a black person

    ... but I am Jewish.

  • you don't have to be either or.Your jewishness and blackness can coexist. There are plenty of black jews, besides jewish is a religion, there are plenty of people who aren't born into it but klater become, so its hardly a qualifier.

  • I got told recently that there is no such thing as a black Jew as the Jews community will not allow it!? am not sure if its true, but if its there cause is there other faiths that disown black people from being part of there religion?? cate x

  • That's funny because the first Jews were Black. It got turned about and now Black Jews are being discriminated against. Have you heard of the Lemba Tribe of Zimbabwe?

  • sweet! Being black and Jewish in America ! Its always to feel u arent alone

    Are u frumish?

  • very interesting and good vid tiff! by far i think one of the best besides Sarah who's just absolutely hysterical lol

  • cool interview

  • You should interview more men.

  • I must say although my white mother was Irish and not Jewish Evie looks just like a younger and female version of myself, it's absolutely amazing.

  • Both her Jewish mother and your Irish mother are white. Just different religions. Was your mother from Ireland or America?

  • She was from Ireland, I live in the UK, I would have thought you were right that they were both white in the same way but there does seem to be some controversy, there are some who say they can tell if someone is Jewish even when they wear no outward cultural sign, some say that "white" Jews have a certain skin tone that is distinct from normal white skin, and that they have certain facial features, it's not something I understand myself either but to some it's clear.

  • Great interview as usual - I kinda pride myself on being able to tell, but she is right, I would of assumed that she was white, unless of course she was with her sister:-)

  • how come you never "do" males!?

    interview that is...

  • she interviewed a guy. check her vids, it was pretty good!

  • it would have been awesome if u had all the siblings there. :-) great interview tiff. looking forward to part 2!

  • are u going to interview biracial people where one of the parents are not either black or white?

  • why do jewish people say jewish and not white. i never understood that.

  • Because not all of us are white. A large number of us come from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Also, Jews who came from Europe were only recently accepted as being semi-white and that was only after a large enough number of Jews assimilated into European culture.

  • okay thanks for answering but i know not all jewish people are white because i have black cuban friends that are jewish. but even my friend who is a rabbi who is also jewish dont know why.

  • If you check out my page I did a video called Israeli National Indentity that explains the various ethnic groups within Israeli/Jewish society.

  • great question i always wanted to know the answer also. it always confused me black and jew. what kind of jewish spanish, asia, middle eastern. i know when jesus was living we werent race we were religions

  • I would also add that, when a person says that they are Jewish, they are connecting or choosing to have a cultural/religious identity, as oppose to a racial identity.

This is how they choose to understand themselves. I think in America, this is problematic/confusing for a lot of people because we're so racial in this country.

  • Actually, being Israeli/Jewish originally was a national structure that contianed ethnic divisions. After the national identity was crushed by the Romans we were relegated to only have national aspirations, but further dividing into more ethnic groups depeneding on region until the national identity was realized again. In America the issue is that there are many Jews who are assimilating. Prior to the Entlightenment movement Jews did not have the ability to willingly assimilate.

  • Ehav.. maybe you can make a video to answer her quesion. I would love to so so but I am not sure if its tzniut to do do.

    *****

I am would have to say ... being Jewish/ Judaism is more than just a religion .. its a way of life...its a peoplehood.

  • well understood but that didnt answer the question. i know that, but she still said that she was black, black is a race

so i would think its good to answer what jewish are you. because remember she said that her family is now catholic. i watch the total interview before asking the question.

  • We have a tendency to view people and issues through a racial lense and when a group or issue comes along that understands themselves/itself in non-racial terms, that can be difficult for many in our society to accept and understand.

  • Any racial group can be jewish. I know that because i worked in a jewish community and i now live close to one. But when you say black and Jewish (which jewish group do you fall under) there our many races of jewish. Jewish isnt a race. But we treat it as so. Im just asking a question many people want to know but a scared to because of youtube back lash. Black is a race, when we think of black we think of africa thats all im asking.

  • There are many groups within the Jewish community. And it might be hard for a person who is not Jewish to understand that.

There are groups of Jews who keep Jewish law differently.

There are Jews from different places. who know different lang. Ie. Arabic, Spainish, English , Polish, .....ect

  • I want to note I wrote more than this and for some reason it is nolonger here

  • There are Jamaican white jews too of Portuguese descent.

  • there is jewish people every where and in every country thats not question. the question is what is the other race group that she falls in. Is it white or is it middle eastern or what ever else

  • I love ur interviews but i would love it if you interviewed someone like me who is biracial but looks black. That would be awsome! but i love ALL ur vids.

  • thanks so much!! i would love to. hopefully someone watching who fits that description and lives in nyc will message me with interest in doing one. it's hard for me to ask people that i assume are biracial. even harder if they "look black" if that makes sense. i promise to try!

  • This is very good I like her story, it fits my friends story she is dating with a 32 year old and she is 18. Great vid tiff!!

  • thanks! i think you'll like the rest of her story too :)
