SSG K, I wish I could of thanked you for teaching me everything you know. You helped mold me into a great soldier and I will never forget you. You helped me and the others through our tough times in OIF 2. Your guidance still helps with advice that I give to my soldiers and family. You definately are The Man, The Myth, The Legend.
SSG K it's doc Johnson, although I wasn't always a part of your squad it was the best experiences when I was with you guys. You are deeply missed and as for his family I hope all is well.. He was an amazing NCO and an amazing person.. Thank you for posting this video..

I'm putting a little memorial celebration in honor of you in our newspaper here in Las Vegas,NV this Memorial Day 2010. As long as I'm alive, you'll never be forgotten braddah. Rise up Hawaiian! Wow, I just discovered this by chance. I was in the Army in peace time, at Pohakuloa Training Area in the late 1980s. So, I lived in Hilo for about 1 1/2 years. I wish I had the honor of serving with Henry. I missed out. I am deeply touched by this video and all your comments. I wish there was something, anything we could all do for his family that would bring him back to them. Thank you Henry, from a deeply grateful American.

As a civilian of this great country, thank you for this video. I pray each night for each and every one of the soldiers fighting for us. To the family of SSG Kahalewai, breathe easy for your loved one is in a better place. A place with no pain, no sadness, no sickness, watching over all of you.

Hi I am the son of Henry Kahalewai. I would like to thank the person that made this video. It was very touching. Does anyone know how I can get a wrist band that was made up in honor of my father? Thank you again...
I received this Video from My Cousin who served in the 1-14th CAV in Iraq. I do not have anymore video, this was the only one I received. Last time I talked to my cousin he said he had a LOT of pictures to go through but hasn't found the time yet.
SSG Kahalewai was a very well liked person.
I know as of Jan 19th 2008 my Cousin was still wearing his In memory of wrist band that was made up in honor of Henry Kahalewai.
This is truly a very beautiful Video that you made. Henry is our family. He is our brother in law. I did call my sister Debi (wife of Henry) to let her know. We found out from another family member. Mahalo plenty (Thank you). This is truly touching the hearts of our family.
