I was watching a program here in the states that demonstrate the power of cellulose from plant matter combined with resins, pressed under a lot of pressure and heated for a while and can be molded into all kinds of things like skateboard decks, they did one for the show. It was on PlanetGreen.

just standard pva glue the 4 coats of yacht varnish. worked suprisingly well!

i wanna get some wood for a board but dont really have any idea where to get it... the only plywood at the hardware stores round here have 5 x 3mm plies which are either too flexy or just snap. they really suck. how are holeys?

holeys are fantastic, they can be set up to do everything from bombing to fast sharp carving. on e tip i learnt from my gcse project i'm on at the moment. try 1.5mm bendy ply and layering it up to what you want!

We used 6mm ply wood, that's quater inch, we glued two bits of it together and left it to bend for 4 days

The wheels are a little bit soft but will slide nicely if you give the board an extra push with slide gloves. Holey trucks wouldn't be my first choice for a slalom board but they worked suprisingly well!

You should try the newspaper graphic, it's really easy and very affective, just rember only apply very thin coats of varnish! ;)
