  • By the by, most Morningstar Farms burger patties aren't vegan (eggs).

  • and butterfly kisses

  • I know caseine is in every damn thing. I accidently became obsessively vegan. Vitamin labels aren't even required to list the whether the source of the main ingredient comes from an animal. You are my teacher of certain things. I only mentioned the B12 because not having it for two years is my only health problem caused by reckless veganism. Wasn't trying to preach. I just think vitamin b12 is important for vegans to take. I don't know how to have fun. Well, bits here and there.

  • The definition of vegan is lacking. You should have got the definition from the Vegan Society of The United Kingdom. Why? Because the founder, Donald Watson, coined the word 'vegan'.

  • Selfish reasons, yes. I've been hospitalized for migraines during my life, and rather than take cripling prescriptive medications, I found an alternative, healthy for mind and body. Being a vegan, whether for a short time or your whole life - regardless, it helped my health. I am a vegetarian now. I've gone back to dairy is my meaning when I say I've slacked and eat some fish.

  • You've talken the word 'selfish' to mean something nasty here. It usually is a derogatory term. I'm sorry that you've been hospitalised. I've had a migraine when I was about 14. Just once. I am glad that eating as a vegetarian has helped you. Best Wishes Joshie x.

  • I took the way marcluc1988 put it to me. I was offended and felt attacked by the lash he commented to me regarding my choices on my life whether it vegan, vegetarianism or meatavor. I'm sorry that I got so upset, but on the same token, did feel attacked as if a PETA member was throwing red paint on me....

  • I was a vegan for a while, it was the ONLY cure to my migraines - plus I lost weight! i've had migraines since I was 18 (I'm almost 38 now) and it really practically cured me. Now, I've slacked off....but REALLY gonna do it again..for good! you feel SO much better all around! And morning star is AWESOME! Oh and we have a place here Onion Creek that serves veggie burgers...AWESOME!! Thanks for inspiring me ! Oh and Jenny...saw your St. Baldrick's Day (sp?) video! So cute!

  • MommieDawn, some vegans wouldn't consider you vegan because you don't have the vegan philosophy. You're doing it for selfish reasons. I'd say you live on a plant-food diet.

Do you wear leather, fur or wool? If you do, you are NOT vegan. Definitely not.

  • Take it easy marclic1988, I was simply commenting on this video, not to have my life scrutinized by a hateful person such as yourself! I'm not really concerned with what vegans think about me, I'm concerned for my health and to be here for my children. And, no, we don't wear leather or furs. Wool is a by product as is milk and other dairy. So no, I'm not a vegan. Go attack someone who is really harming others or the planet and get laid please...

  • Marcluc1988's message wasn't hateful and the messages you replied with about milk and dairy being by-products is not true. The cows are bred specifically for maximum milk production. It is definitely a by-product.

Also, by calling yourself 'vegan', you are confusing people as to what vegan really means. I often get people serving me non-vegan thing because 'My vegan friend eats it. So why don't you?" Please refrain from misusing it. You're vegetarian.

  • I have not called myself a vegan in present. Yes I was considered vegan as my lifestyle years ago for health reasons. I DO call myself a vegetarian, not vegan today. I felt marcluc was being rude and responded as such.

  • @marcluc1988 For what it's worth, quite a few vegans don't really have anything against vintage leather/fur/wool products.

  • this is very healing and i admire your openspiritedness thank you

  • That was both entertaining and informative--even taking into account that 'Morningstar' song ;)

Some nice acting there as well (I'd call you a ham, but that's not a kind term to use for a casein-avoiding vegan). [How about that? I learned a new word!]

Keep up the reports, and your efforts to stay a leaf-eater!

  • Hey! Thanks for the kind words. There's a second episode called Maneuvering around the Kitchen, and hopefully I'll have a new one up soon. And more new vocab words too.

I saw your video too, and I liked it. There was a clear message, and the comedy in it made it fun to watch.

  • you don't have to try. if it's that hard for just selfish. and for the record, our bodies are made for plants. it shouldn't be to hard a decision to stop killing defenseless beings in favor of life for both the animals and the rest of the world. if we all ate just meat, less than half of the world's population could eat. so stop acting like it's the hardest thing in the world to give up mickey-d's

  • I agree. You don't have to tell me, because I already don't eat meat. I don't think it's hard not to, but for the sake of comedy, you can watch the reports or not, or you can enjoy them or not. But either way, they're not to be taken completely seriously.
