    down with Dubai

  • @babunnel

    a few

  • What happens when all of Dubai's oil is pumped out so that Americans & Europeans can drive their cars & SUV's to the malls to buy plastic (oil-based) injection-molded trinkets from China? How will Dubai function when the oil is gone?

  • You dont realize how much oil there is on earth.

  • @Reijerkolle,

A lot of controversey swirls around that question: How much RECOVERABLE oil is left? The Peak-Oil theorists claim that world production has peaked and will be on a slow decline for decades. Others claim that as oil prices rise (in a volatile way, but inexorably upward), more oil will be economically recoverable, especially with the latest injection technologies. So, I don't know. What I do know, is that oil is finite, and it will run out at some point. However, in what decade?

  • Technology improves daily, our consumption of oil has actually dropped. Vehicles and machines are much more efficient now. The ammount of oil fields that are un touched and un explored is massive. My dad works in the oil business and in his industry it is widely known that we will have access to as much oil as we can consume for hundreds and hundreds of years.

  • the've builty all the skyskrapers and malls so that when they run out of oil they will still be successful and they will be a huge tourist destination! that the plan they have! not sure if it will work!

  • Dubai gets most of it money from shipping not oil.

  • tall but ugly

  • I like it that last aspect most of all.
