Not really. At the time, people would stop me at the Mall and say HI. I did get a number of letters in the mail (back then). I've gotten a lot of comments here from all over the world...its great!

I have a sterling studio camera. the early stuff is awesome. the case is mahoghany with hand cut dovetails.they don't do that anymore!

i dont know if my previous comment got posted..but i think the 'mystery' camera might be a Kinamo, ICA AG Kinamo or Zeiss Icon Kinamo N25

My guess is that it was the Zeiss Icon Kinamo N25.

The DeVry camera you are showing here could be seen on a 1931 ad (I can't copy the link because of YouTube policy)
At this time, it cost $150 (!!!) to buy such marvel.

Thanks! I'm not too surprised to see it among the 1930s cameras. Back then, I rarely paid more than $25US for cameras.
