And if gay movies don't make any money because every one just downloads them, then directors and producers will simply not make them (there would be next to no profit).

The gay and lesbian population is already small. The last thing these movies need is for gay people to steal them. :) You can purchase them at amazon dot com.

Es una película estupenda, un poquito ñoña pero muy chula, especialmente por el final feliz (de vez en cuando hasta nos dan alguno) Y los chicos son toda una monada. Got the DVD from Amazon the day it was released in the UK - wanted to watch a gay movie in which the heroes weren't bullied or bashed, all lived at the end and made me feel good and optimistic. It delivered.

This looks sweet and a little confusing. After watching your video, I read a plot summary and found out why. Also, according to the reviews at amazon, it's romantic, unlike the sex farces that are usually labeled romantic comedies, and it avoids stereotypes. @alwaysuseless Thanks John. Don't expect nothing spectacular. It's only a low budget sweet film shooted on two weeks with some sweet moments and lots of teasing scenes. The only problem it's the eternal line of the actors on interviews saying that it isn't a gay film, only a film that happens to deal with gay characters. Kinda sick of those stupid remarks, there is a LOT of decent and great gay themed movies out there. And saying that you've done a gay film it's nothing to be ashamed of. xxx

We are mainstream, the problem it's that for most of the working actors/writers/directors (sad to say that a lot of them gay) we're still considered as minority poison for the box office, unless we play the funny hairdresser or flamboyant florist gay friend of the lead actress. Totally agree with you, actors/producers/directors must be concerned on shinning on their work and less worried in shying their gay themed movies. Hope live enough to see that someday. xxx

@JJTheTrue - Sorry that the message that people are taking away from this statement is that the actors are ashamed that we made a gay film. We are not. We intentionally made a gay film we can be proud of. The point the actors are making is that it's not only a film about gay people and life, it's a film about people who are people and love that is love, the characters happen to be gay in a gay world. the idea is not to exploit that they are gay but to include everyone in this universal story.

What I would never understand about the continuous statements like "...it isn't a gay film" it's the totally pointless "need" on making that remark. Exploitment it's everywhere, gay and straight movies. I've never read any actor or actress saying on an interview that their new film "isn't a straight movie." In the gay case, IMO sounds like a "shameful" apology. Totally unnecesary.

But that said, you make an excellent point and I very much appreciate your point of view. From now on when me and/or the actors do press, we will make sure to eliminate that from our talking points and proudly represent the film as what it is. A gay movie.
