  • where can I find the lyrics?

  • @shneeshnaw Try requesting the lyrics on Carlene's Facebook page.

  • i love you carlene..

  • What a great talent from a talented family. Thanks.

  • Wow, she looks like her mama!

  • Wonder why her last name is Carter? Her dad was Carl Smith. Shouldn't she be Carlene Smith??

  • @Gretnakv Her mother was June Carter, and although briefly married to Carl Smith, she also kept the Carter family name at that time.

  • @Carters01 I know her mother was June Carter. She used the name Smith when she was very young.

  • @Gretnakv Her stage name is Carter...her name is Rebecca Carlene....might be Carter might be Smith...Could be Carter because her mom and dad were broken up when she was born

  • @Gretnakv It says in the mag thing she was in at age 15 her full name...Rebecca Carlene Smith. I think Carlene Carter is just a stage name?

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG I wish I could get it on a cd but I've never seen it anywhere :( Carlene has always been an amazing singer and writter and person.

  • sounds alot like June also

  • is she still alive?

  • @roswell333 Yup, released her first album in 13 years in 2008 called "Stronger."

  • Sure looks like June here. Great singer

  • tolle Stimme!

  • wow, it's heaven.

  • she has a look of June here

  • You are so right; she sure does.

  • ...Miss Carlene is both beautiful and a master of vocal skills. It seems her singing style stems from the likes of Miss Joan Biaz and Miss Maurine McGovern...Unfortunately, there isn't a market for that brand these days...

  • ...(edit), Joan Baez, Maureen McGovern and you can add Janis Ian to that list. Webster forgive...

  • This is probably from 50 years of country music (1978). Dolly Parton was one of the hosts.

  • she is the image of her mother

  • Yeah, the hairstyle is a giveaway that it was earlier in her career, can't be '83 or '84.

  • Carlene is just so entirely wonderful.

  • this can't be from 84 or 83 her hair is still long and dark you could say light brow when she first started she had her hair like that because when she was little her hair was bloond but then it turned light brown then in the 80s like 81 or 82 she dyed it bloon and kept it that way till she did the wildwood flowers then she let it grow to her naturel coler and it wasn't that long in the 80s it was shorter

  • I said it was broadcasted in germany in '84 '83 I dot know when it was recorded:)

  • i love this and your are right carlene is still alive and is still doing dates she is married to joe breen now so yeah and she didn't start recording till 1978 thats when she did Carlene Carter i just love her so much

  • Carlene's voice is AWESOME! Great soul and sensitivity! 5 Star video! Thanks! :c)

Best wishes for health and happiness!

  • Based on her hairstyle, I would guess this is around 1978, when her first album came out.

  • God bless you and Johnny in heaven..You both were and still are remarkable...along with the whole Carter and Cash families.

  • That's Carlene and she's alive and well. She just relesed a new CD this month. Are you thinking of June or Rosey?

  • Beautiful:)Peace and Happiness:)))))

    Rand(Bluesy)

  • I'm guessing early '70's. There seems to be no

recorded history before 1978 for her.

She could have been singing the phone book here and had the same effect. Sweet, vulnerable, and a voice that could handle anything. I'll take this over "I'm So Cool" anytime.

  • It does however lack a certain quality of sound.

  • This song is broadcasted in germany in '83'or '84. It's a fragmant of "100 years of country music".

My parents taped it all those years ago, and this tape is now worn down and gray...

I love this song I'ts my first memory of country music and it made me a country fan/lover at 4 jears old:)

Thank you so much for this song!!

  • Beautiful!!

  • Ah, she was so young and all, I'm glad she's survived and still keeping on...

  • like mother like daughter. she has the finest voice like her mother

  • where did you find this hank

  • She looks exactly like her mother.

    LadyDemocrat

  • GENIAL VERY GODD

  • Nice one Hank!
