  • Man some van driver. He didn't even get out to see what he hit. Thank got the guys chest or head wasn't under the tire it would of killed him. I bet he had alot of money into that bike not only that he is outta work now

  • I can't believe this guy is adjusting his camera, instead of rushing to help the guy...wtf man! when did you stop being a human?

  • Dude, that isn't that expensive for what kind of bike he is riding...

  • Poor guy. :(

  • times square really needs bike lanes

  • OMFG americans are so fcking stupid :D

  • @Cujo11 Americans aren't the only ones, I see...

  • crying like a little bitch haha

  • Serves him right for trying to cut off the van.

  • i'm sure he'll sue cause the america today is a "what can i get for free kind of nation"

  • Just sue him like the rest in that country.

  • i hope he can get some help getting a new bike i feel bad for him he makes his living with that bike

  • Id flip shit if tht was my bike too

  • the driver was supposed to have control of his vehicle at all times it was the drivers fault an dthen the driver purposely rode over the guys bike i would be just as mad

  • obviously not cut out for the job, when rather than if! be prepared, as lord bayden powell says.

  • I wish he died.

  • @1ASMA3 Good luck in hell.

  • Worst acting ever. One second he can barely stand, the next he is charging the van like he is going to attack the guy, then he is limping again, then he seems fine yet again. His insurance will likely pay for it even though the accident wasn't clearly his fault. It will take some time, but if you want faster replacement of your bike then you need to obtain and insurance policy on it. On a 1200 bicycle it would be incredibly cheap, and he could have cash in his hand with in a few days...

  • @weeeezzll You're a moron.

  • @TheRealEmskiHelp Because I can't clearly tell who's fault this is, or because I think the guy on the bike should carry insurance to protect himself from loosing his job because some idiot wasn't paying attention or because I think he was being overly dramatic about his injuries ooooor because I disagree with you about something?

  • @weeeezzll You're just a moron. Plain and simple. Try having your leg or foot run over by some Indian dude in a van.

  • @TheRealEmskiHelp His leg/foot wasn't run over, and I'm pretty sure that guy is Italian. He probably hit his knee on the pavement. That can be painful, but when you walk back across the street carrying a bike with no signs of distress, I'm hard pressed to believe the wobbly-legs bullshit you pull after the fact. I did this job from almost 2 years between 94-96. Stopped after I got t-boned by a scooter. Only sprained my knee and could not even stand up at the accident scene.

  • @weeeezzll dude he just got hit, then he realized his 800 dollar bike just got thrashed to death, how the fuck would you feel even if you were in pain? but i guess your a pussy so you would have just sat and cried

  • Its only a bike!!!

  • @907iceage its his life. job, food, probably his only car, and he probably worked very hard and long to afford it :/ poor guy

  • @907iceage $200 rims, plus the cost of the frame, forks and so on. My bike costs $2194. They sometimes cost more than cars!

  • The van must got an insurance isn't it?

since this video captured everything, the insurance could pay for his bike right?

  • nahh he didnt try to cut him off the truck must have not seen him and swurved into his tire.....and when riding in nyc you have no choice but to be that close to cars sometimes... but its really the car that hits the bike =/. cuz if a biker hits a car he could most likely ride off without a worry

  • What the hell did he expect from riding like that? He clearly tried to the cut the van off.

Ride like an idiot, and pay the consequences! If he cared so much about his "expensive" $1000 bike, why does he ride it like a fucking maniac?

  • @WNT35 Are you blind? the truck moved to the right and caught the dudes back wheel.

  • @WNT35 you have to. you are paid by how much you can deliver. it goes beyond traffic and law and is just a part of you doing your job.

  • @WNT35 or wear a helmet

  • That van was in he wrong for hitting that messenger

  • thats what you get for riding a fixie...

  • I ride about 3k-5k miles a year for years, although not in NYC. It looks like the bicyclist cut off that van big time. Is that how they ride in NYC?! WTF? If I didn't know better, I'd say the bicyclist was trying to get run over or something. As an experienced rider myself, I don't get it at all. Also, how is this camera guy just coincidentally at the right location and recording right at that moment? It's so carefully recorded (and maybe over-acted?) it seems like it's got to be a setup.

  • @SBRslacker00 spot on mate the camera is in exactly the right place filming bugger all and that reaction doesnt exactly seem genuine to me.

  • Biker is New York A-hole, there are bike lanes for bikes.... Go figure

  • Big deal, he can just go steal another one

  • poor guy looks devastated.. he doesn't even care about how badly he is hurt.. probably living on day by day is tough.. sighs.. feel for him.. hope he is ok now.. :(

  • damn and that bike could cost like what? 100, 200 , 300. he looks experienced, i say 250-300 hands down. you dont get that easy

  • @countdouchebag1 800 dollar bike, and his rims were an extra 200, It's not a cheap bike..

  • @sgknexmaker o___O wow i feel bad for the guy i hope he had some sort of warranty when you work on something and put everything you've got to only see it in front of you destroyed i can't even grasp how he must have felt :(

  • this happens everyday in ny, times square especially. you'll be surprised to not see 2 or 3 accidents happening at the same time

  • Bicyclists also must: Signal turns, lane changes and stops using the hand signals.

  • is that 42nd street? or is it in front of toys r us?

  • Comment removed

  • He was riding with HEADPHONES sorry dude!

  • Looking at the van from it first appears in view, you can see it is doing a slow merge across lanes (use the black car in front as a reference point), so at first glance it appears to be the cyclist fault due to the low camera angle, it is in fact the van that is in the wrong.

  • YO!

  • P.s Wen do u ever see ppl get as dramatic as this guy during a car accident, and they to need their vehicle for wrk,

  • @jojob166 if someone hit you and run over your money earner ud be fuckin pissed i guarantee it

  • This cyclist is a retard.Anyone who thinks he's rite is a moron.the guy tryed cutting off con ed,and their on it he got wats coming to him,if he can't afford a new bike he's a bitch for working and not having mny.than trys making a scene? Dude dont ride sumthing without insurance!

  • Worste part of getting hit is seeing your bike i know the feeling brother hope he ddnt get too hurt

  • i feel bad for him i hope he got a new bike and didnt get hurt

  • Dumb bicycle rider should give vehicles the right of way next time!! OWNED!!!

  • Limping like he's lost a leg, then a normal brisk walk seconds later. Dishonest tosser 'almost' deserved being run over.

  • so dramatic

  • biker was asking for it

cycling on the main road and cutting off the van

  • just buy a new bike

  • @freakfrown lolumad? im sure youre a big tough guy.

  • Him loosing his bike is like being a truck driver and not having a truck. i would be pissed off like that to. thats his source of money and w/o money he cant live eat or do anything.

  • not only is he a bad driver, but after hitting the biker down, he continues to drive over not just his bike, but looks like his leg is still in the frame as well... not cool

  • like a good neighbor state farm is there!

  • @wyrmbuster LOL XD

  • I have come to a conclusion: He mad.

  • The camera just happened to be pointing at exactly the right spot.

  • u mad?

  • That's terrible...

  • The accident was not the fault of the driver. The messenger came from behind and was to close to the van. He couldn't see him. In addition the messenger wears an earphone and as an old bike messenger from Berlin I can tell you, that this is really foolish. A good bike messenger do not use only his eyes, he uses also his ears. And a earphone absorbs the noise. I am sorry for the messenger, but that's it.

  • @BeatsushiMusic you're an idiot.... 08:00- 11:00 re watch

  • LOL. My bike cost 11 times that

  • Comment removed

  • The guy driving the van is an idiot and why would he run over the bike a second time.

  • people commenting below don't understand he's trying to earn his living and his bike must have cost him a lot as it is his means of transportation because maybe he can't afford to use the subway on a daily basis. of course he is going to be angry because he just lost his bike and now how is he gonna commute from his home to his work place in time

  • biker had earphones on, no helmet, and was way to close on the van. his reaction is understandable but it also reveals his character, staying in the street impeding the flow of traffic and trying to fight the guy, a very selfish person that thinks nothing of others, he's lucky so many people actually cared to help out when he got hit but he wanted to freak out and go thug in the street...

  • @456blue456 i cant speak for NY, but in CA helmets are not required by law provided you're over 18yo. Also, in CA it is legal to ride in the street as long as you're in the right-most lane (which he was). So by all counts, he's legally fine. In addition, most bike messengers, rely on their bikes for EVERYTHING. Without a bike, they're dead. No work, no food, no transportation. and odds are that was his own bike (probably worth > $1200) I'd have had a similar reaction

  • @nephiguy142 for food you say? i didnt know they made edible bikes these days. Modern technology eh?

  • @efrankie90 smartass...the bike pays the bills

  • And that's why you wear a helmet. Why is it not a law in USA???

  • @Clubbyful It is in TX lol

  • @Clubbyful it is a law. just so happens that people dont give a shit

  • as much as a bike enthusiast I am and wanna be on the biker's side, I think it was the bikers fault for getting too close to the car. I didn't see the car swerving or doing anything other than a straight line, but the biker looked like he kinda cut in front of the bumper. Although, outlawing cars in the city is the solution : )

  • Think of it this way----Same as if a taxi driver just got t-boned----only its the only taxi he could drive with and was his way of getting home and to work. Thats just fcked up.

  • biker is right to react like this i mean this bike is is life, money and food for him.... i mean if i broke your way of life, would you be angry?

  • biker crazy reaction

  • The raw emotion that came out the bicyclist was kind of funny.

  • people just don't understand -_-

  • poor guy :( probably had a great connection between him and the bike RIP bike

  • man...seeing this guy grieving like this makes me so sad. Although it's "just a bike", it obviously carries a lot of value in his life aka his source of income. On top of that, he probably babies it like it were his son. Imagine something you cared most about in your life ruined right before your eyes. I hope he was able to get another bike and continue with his life. Gosh, I can't express in words how sad I am for him :[

  • it looks like the biker tried to cut off the van, the van was in the same lane the whole time. plus it would be really hard to see a biker coming up from your back right

  • @zharper93 As you can tell they were riding side by side for at least 30 seconds. If you're driving in NYC you know to be cautious for cyclists. That van swerved and hit him on purpose. There's no doubt in my mind about that. You can tell by the way he finishes running over the bike instead of having the guy remove what was left.

  • @NickReaume the van was literally going straight the whole time. And im pretty sure he started moving again to get out of traffic...

  • @zharper93 no fuck you

  • @zharper93

-The difficulty to see something coming is not an argument as it is the driver's responsibility to make sure the lane is clear before changing lane. -If he came on the side swiftly after the van started changing lane, in a way that he was not visible when the van driver first checked if the lane was clear, then he was lacking courtesy.- It is not plausible that the biker tried to cut the van by trowing himself on it. Bikers are daring but they don't purposely aim for steel.

  • @flaquedevomis the van didnt change lanes he was going straight the whole time..

  • @zharper93 We have to consider that the viewing angle is the worst to evaluate the trajectory of the van and the biker and nobody here agrees probably for that reason.

  • @flaquedevomis yeah i would agree with you on that, Im just judging by the way the other cars are moving and the positioning of his tires.

  • Feel bad for the messenger guy he is making an honest living working hard for his $ and then you have an idiot runing over his means of earning that honest living.

  • HOW DID YOU GUYS RECORDED THIS?

  • It was the messenger's fault. Why did he try to overtake a much bigger and faster vehicle? but still the van's driver should help him to pay the bike since he didn't act properly towards that kind of accident... he could have rolled over the bike guy.

  • where's all the comments proposing that cyclists shouldn't be on the roads and they we should run them all over? strange.. it's usually the case in these videos. seems to bring out the inner psychopath.

  • Own3d anotha brotha down

  • If the dude didn't run around screaming profanities like a 14 year old child people might actually feel empathetic. And it might come as a surprise for some people to hear this but....riding a bike in the streets of NYC drastically increases the odds you will get hit by a car.

  • @Roseywellian why the fuck areyou so dumb ou get hit and see how relax you are

  • premium rush

  • fuck that cop in the background at the end who was smiling, that bike was basically that guys meal ticket and his rent money, that sucks :/

  • Damn that sucks that driver is a douche and man its hard enough to make ends meet as a messenger

  • Hellla funny

  • ´poor dude... feel for him

  • Like how the driver continues to run over the bike after initially stopping.

    Fucking douche.

  • @tcorourke2007 yeah, imagine if that was the person and not the bike. Drivers a dumb ass.

  • @tcorourke2007 hes trying to pull over so he doesnt block traffic

  • erlich beide vollkoffers wahren schuld auch der radler

  • Fuck messengers and anyone on a fixie.

  • @mrmott44

All messengers don't ride fixed. go take your fatass back to filming videos of your fucking cats, you furry.

  • @mrmott44 u are a dick sir

  • here were im living (holland) are bike's free.

  • people commenting dont seem to realise he needs his bike to earn his living, without it he cant eat. ofcorse hes going to be upset.

  • @mrresistancenow whos fault is that. hes like mid to late twenties and his entire life revolves around a bicycle? what do you expect to happen when you disobey street laws hundreds if not thousands of times every day.

  • @cmanclan101 So you're saying it's wrong to have your life revolve around a bicycle? That to be an "adult" you have to have own and drive a car? I think frame builders, professional cyclists, messengers and extreme sports enthusiasts would like a word with you, buddy.

  • @cmanclan101 thats not what im saying at all... im saying to be an "adult" and be completely dependent on having a bike that works is irresponsible and straight up dumb. the fact that his "$200" pair of rims is his biggest worry in this situation speaks volumes about his priorities and financial responsibility

  • @cmanclan101 Im wondering where you learned all this arrogant 'people should live this way' talk? he's a biker, not a felon

  • @ruskiantonov from being a relatively successful person. i never said he was a felon, nor did i comment that there is anything wrong with doing his job for a living. what i said was a 200 dollar pair of bike wheels should not be his biggest worry in this situation. he could have avoided that by maybe saving some money.

  • @cmanclan101 Not everyone is successful like you man, nor do most guys that have messenger jobs do it cause they want to but have to and need the cash. Every bit they make goes to just making it another day, the whole world isn't shitting money like you dude..

  • Придурок. К обочине не принял, а потом страдает. Водила, конечно, тоже красавчик. Переехал его байк. ХЗ, обиделся, наверное, что ему под колёса влезли. (((-:

  • Moron. Don't drive so close to a van in the MIDDLE of the road. Fuck your "$1,000" bike.

  • @notabroham Spoken like a person that doesn't cycle. There is no bike lane so the cyclist has the right of way. The van clearly runs into him not the other way around.

  • bike was probably stolen

  • @Jarostko i would love to, um, oh yeah, beat the shit out of you.. he payed 8 bills for his bike. you obviously dont ride a bike or have never understood what it means to own and love one. go drive your fuckin SUV to the grocery store you fat lazy peice of shit. hahahahhah

  • stupid asholes!

  • ...and someone just happened to catch the ENTIRE incident on camera?? Through a friggin upskirt cam? lmmfao. NYC cops don't look like that btw. Actors interviewing and calming other actors?

  • He's cycling in the middle of the effin' road, bumps into a truck and then amazes why his bike got 'crushed'. Total idiot.

  • legally who is at fault here? It looks like the bike is passing the van up when he got hit? I wonder how it all turned out. The biker seems a little strange to me

  • yo dude, at least your cell still works!

  • shiiiiit...i know what that feels like...ruined my bike too...all fucked up when i threw it through his windshield...

  • There are no rules in the traffics of nyc, take Ur driving school shit outta here. The messenger guy put hard earned money into his bike, and its his only tool for making money, of course he would go hysterical because of this.

  • whyd the van keep going after he hit him

    ran over his bike

  • @PeaceorHi he parked

  • should of ran he over , this guys a wanker

notice how his leg went from a limp to perfectly ok than to a limp again

    what a showpony !

and it was his fault in the first place

  • Nigger deserved it. Too bad he didn't run over his head.

  • @PlatypusVomit wow dude

  • Niggas gotta keep it real

  • FUCK ALL YOU WHO SAY NYC IS A SHIT HOLE GO BACK TO FUCKIN STATEN ISLAND OR THE SUBURBS SHUTTHEFUCK UP

  • it would have been funny if some1 has stolen his bag while he had a cry

  • @rageofalphawolf If New York is such a shit hole why is the 3rd most visited city in the world? but the first two points are true. :)

  • The way everyone in nyc communicates..yo yo yo

  • No matter who is at fault, your not ment to run people over, looked painfull man.in the wallet and the knee.

  • i wouldnt be surprised the bike cost as much as the van... :( it sucks...

  • bikes are expensive. I would be crying too if my 2,000 dollar bike got runed over!!! not counting the 3,000 rims fuck!

  • @jowrab I believe its his bike. Its the man's job to deliver packages

  • black people always overexaggerate

  • @jowrab the bike yo once you can walk alright all concern goes to the bike

  • fuck that, it was like he was expecting the driver to stop for him.

  • @jowrab Both.. Seeing as how he needs both to work, I would be extremely angry too.

  • Don't see his shit, just his jacked up bike I smell a lawsuit, if he can find the driver :)

  • @PrayerCoach haha I'd love to see a judge rule in favor of a bike messenger in a traffic accident, especially in this case which the messenger is at fault :)

  • Don't see his shit, just his jacked up bike :)

  • @LaVulpeDaFirenze Then don't talk like you fucking know anything about me.

  • Comment removed

  • you guys need to stop hatin on this dude man. thats his job right there. its nobdys fault. just an accident. anybody who be hating on this guy would feel exactly the same if it was you.

  • @djkkt52 its obviously someones fault.. -.-

  • I wish he ran over the guy. Fuck fixed gear bikes.

  • @jowrab he was crying about $300 rims he just bought for the bike hahahahah

  • bicyclists in NYC are crazy. They go opposite traffic, get in front of cars, all kinds of stupid sh*t. They think they can do anything just because they on a bicycle. More cops should stop them so they can know its not ok to pass a red light just cause you ride a bicycle and not a car.

  • @dresden nazism is not a good situation

  • das war doch mal ober mit absicht so sind manche deppen im auto hab letzte woche erst einem scheiß taxi fahrer mit meinem schloss seine kack scheibe eingeschlagen weil er mich abträngen wollte........pisser !

  • @habib2993 You'd rather have cyclists running into pedestrians? Really? There's a reason for all those signs that say "SHARE THE ROAD"...

  • Not the van's fault...

  • @DanielMaycrest fucking naziscum!

  • @DanielMaycrest he got hit, GTFO you racist prick.
