Bill is still on Channel 7, or was back in '08? Hard to believe. I moved outta Michigan about 7 years ago. Hear hes teamed up with Rich Fisher on WCAR radio recently.

Was that John Kelly and Marilyn Turner at the end? Have they ever thought about getting new anchors on that channel? haha

Wise words from an amazing individual, who just recently attended my Graduation Party (one of my father's closest friends). He said some great things about me and told to me to push hard and the results will come, one of the best men I know

It's amazing, my mother grew up watching him, I grew up watching him. There won't be ANYONE who could fill Bill Bonds' shoes, man. Ain't gonna happen!

The first time I saw Cool Hand Luke, I couldn't figure out whey in hell they had the nerve to play Bill Bond's entrance musice.

I grew up in Detriot - that is, the Detroit that became the automobile capital of the United States. Back then, my parents, brothers, and I used to crowd around our television, and listen to the latest news from Bill Bonds. I know there were people out there that thought he was an egotistical asshole, but they cannot deny the fact that he was one of the best news anchors of all time.

Farewell Bill Bonds, you will be missed.

Watched this live on the web. It was great to see the one of the best news teams in Detroit. Too bad WXYZ didn't pull out the "Cool Hand Luke/Eyewitness News" theme to put the icing on the cake.
