Your mandolin playing puts mine to shame, but I've been playing for only a few months.

I liked the EP. I didn't catch all of the references, but that didn't detract from the songs at all. They can stand up for themselves.

I'm really glad you thought that about the songs! I deliberately tried to not use many direct references to make the songs as accessible as possible, so hopefully that paid off :)

@WillsOdyssey I've been playing guitar for almost three years, so I know most of the basics. I just need to spend more time on learning them as they apply to mandolin. I didn't take it with me to university last semester or this semester, so I haven't had much opportunity to practise. I'm bringing it back with me for spring semester, so hopefully I'll make some progress then.

I think it certainly paid off.
