I haven't really measured battery time because I rarely use it - and always turn it on and off several times when I do use it.

I have seen measurement where this laser draws around 280 mA from the batteries. So don't expect battery life time to be much over 5 hours. If you don't use the laser daily 5 hours of 'on' time is quite alot. Green lasers at same rating typically have 3 to 4 times shorter battery life.

Du skal nok få laseren. Den er ikke ulovlig i Danmark, men kan selvfølgelig beslaglægges af politiet, hvis den anvendes idiotisk f.eks. ved at lyse på fly, dyr, mennesker mv. Du risikerer dog told, moms og andet fis, hvis pakken bliver åbnet, så der kan komme omkring 250 kr. på prisen, som du skal betale, hvis du er uheldig. Men den bliver ikke beslaglagt. Min strøg uåbnet gennem told, så jeg fik den billigt :o)

nm er en forkortelse for nanometer og er et mål for bølgelængden på lyset fra laseren. På dansk: farven på lyset fra laseren.

Typiske røde lasere har en bølgelængde på 650-670 nm (nogle sjældne har 635 nm, som er orangerøde)

Alm. grønne lasere har 532 nm

Blå lasere har typisk 473 nm

Violette bluray-lasere har 405 nm

If the beam is focused to a pinpoint on the matchhead it should light up almost instantly. Are you sure that you are focusing right? (turn the focus head at the front of the laser)

1- Only a bit. It's not a problem really. Barely noticeable.

2- I'm not really sure, since i ordered it from Best Offer Buy. It arrived in excactly 2 weeks.

3- Good build. The focusing head on top is a bit loose when you unscrew/screw it, but it's definately not a problem, since mine is working excellently. Easy access to the board and pot.

27 dollar but it is only a boring laser that doesnt lasts very much, it only burns 2 weeks and the laser is as brighter as a boring laser pen. true 200mW green is better, but doesnt burn as red

It's worth every cent no matter what range it has :o) I don't know the exact range and generally ranges are the least precise measurement for a laser (most of the ranges stated are pure guess and not measured...).

In darkness you can see the beam if you're right behind the laser (or in front of it but you don't want your eyes to be in front of this laser!). In fog/smoke the beam is very visible - even from the side.

Hi. Batteries are not included but Dealextreme sell them separately. Just type CR2 in their search field. Currently they sell 5 non-rechargeable for $7 and 2 rechargeable for $4 (and a charger to these for $6).

If you are 100% sure that you (and everyone else in the room) will not get the beam or a reflection of the beam from a shiny surface in the eyes and will not stare at the spot you could operate this laser without safety glasses. In my opinion it would be a stupid risk to take though because I like my eyes. Safety glasses are highly recommended with this laser!

how fast will it blind you? is it faster then you can blink? cause i have had my 100mw green in my eye a couple of times and i can see perfectly

You should be much more careful! Generally the blink reflex is only considered to save the eye with lasers under 5 mW. You have been lucky if you took a direct hit in the eye at a short distance with a <100 mW laser.

Nice point. Even though I own some high power lasers I still enjoy (and are amazed) by a 5 mW laser - just buy the cheapest smoke machine and fill the room with a little smoke - the beam from a 5 mW is amazing under these conditions. Cheap and not least: eye-safe, so no worries o";)

Nej, jeg var så heldig, at laseren gik igennem told uden at blive åbnet. Dealextreme havde skrevet 'pres. pen' uden på pakken, så tolderen troede nok, at det bare var en værdiløs kuglepen. Så ingen told på min :o)
