Can't forget Laura: such a natural music talent who doesn't only sing! She sat and played as if it was normal: It is to her!

To say she wasn't 'herself' is absurd: : She's way beyond being 'herself' and chooses different styles. Cowell simply liked the style & song she sang before! Laura Davis & Ruth Lorenzo for me were stunning in their own ways and the real winners in 2008 Laura was tactically eliminated as she was a danger to Louis Walsh who chose not to save her! Pathetic

2 probs made this an epic fail

1. The key is too high. Laura's best in her mid/low range, so she should have started much lower. As this is a big range song, she got so high she was close to falsetto, so she did hit the notes, just way too softly

2. She's not a fully accomplished Pianist yet. She would have been around Grade 6 back then. Lookin down durin a piano performance is a buzz kill

In Leona's year there were only a couple of talented people,whereas with last year (Alexandra B) almost everyone was very talented, Alexandra could dance and sing, Laura could play instruments as well as sing that is what i mean by talent. In terms of success Leona has done brilliantly, I love her

Well, I think Alexandra can't be compared to Mariah if you take into account her voice limitations. She's a contralto and she did her thing, she showed she knows her limitations and adapted the song for her range and it was terrific. For me Leona still resembles too much Mariah and I prefered Kelly's version. Mariah was untouchable when she sang her version, but nowadays...

I love the dynamic, she has a powerful voice, but doesn't always have to show that off as she has a beautiful soft folsetto voice too, technically brilliant too. If people can't appreciate all aspects of her voice that's their problem. Simon says the last bit was "ok" , meaning when she sang powerfully. Maybe he should have some training before he makes comments like that. You also don't get many singers like that in hotels. The world's gone mad.
