  • I'm afraid Douglas is wrong on this one. We already have a base on Mars and have had one for many years now. The evidence is available online if one bothers to look.

  • just because its on mars doesn't mean this life came from mars to be fair, it could of landed on mars a long time ago from a meteor

  • Wow NASA your stupid it's obvious a dam bacteria organism was on the ship there was no sign of life until a stupid thing from earth came there would that make sense

  • i remember watching a show on tv about this 'bacteria' and the debate weither it was real life or not.... i remember they actually reanimated them and grew some in a petri dish, however, they had to use earth water in the process and doubting scientists claimed there could have been a bacterium in the water... however the bacteria started to slowly 'disolve' the petri dish and they were talking about using it in landfills... then the military shut it down.. any one have a link to the story...?

  • Sounds interesting!

  • @survival12345 we already have evidence of cells dividing on Mars, this has been known for quit some time, TV is slow as always to report anything new, Try browsing the nasa website iteself, since 1996 we have had evidence from a mars Meteorite that there was primitive life on mars some 2 million years ago, specifically mentioned in release 96-160, Also google

ALH 84001, good day mate, welcome to nearly two decades ago :)

  • They just found out that the heating element in the trays on the rovers had been turning on automatically with no indication...so every sample that has been tested for life has been basically been pre cooked first...

    way to go nasa~

  • Harmful to humans great and they brought them to earth.

  • why hasnt anyone asked him or have they, what planets do have life capable of visiting earth? why ask what nasa will find when we will know that anyway?

  • There is another US space probe Mars-bound in (IIRC) 2011. He's been asked about alien life previously, it's on some of the yahoo group's (manymansions) sessions he did for that group- at any rate, we should find out in the next few years about Mars bacterial life, one way or the other

  • Methane gas around Mars leads to strong speculation of Mars microbial life:
