No, this has had many views because the Mondays/Black Grape just had their own style, as did the Verve and the Stone Roses, and have made a great contribution to British music. Altho I have never been a Beatles fan as such I have to acknowledge their incredible influence and love to see stuff about them. They did it by sheer hard work and talent.

One of the biggest misconceptions about the Mondays is that they were musically talentless and had no idea what they were doing when it came to picking up an instrument.

On the contrary, I find their music to be very technical and complex and the keyboard, guitar, bass and drum riffs to indicate quite a fair bit of musicianship. Couple that with the way the different musical pieces are matched together so paradoxically perfectly, and you've got a very talented band gracing your ears. =)
