  • You can design the blade with a variable pitch blade that will minimize pitch if it goes too fast. A weight that is affected by cintrifical forces is a good way to go. the faster the spin, the more the blade is taken off optomal preformance. if the weight is spring loaded when the turbin slows down the blade moves back into optomal blade pitch. it works much in the way as the old wind mills.

  • @willtry2survive that's a great idea

  • Would get if you have a head

  • Pac wind is OUT of business..they were bought by wee wee power

that specializes in renting stores spaces in shopping malls.

    great connection..landlord = wind turbine manufacturer..hahah

  • I invented a breakthrough source of energy which violates the law of conservation of energy. I have a PROOF that there are electrodynamic phenomena which violate the law of energy conservation. Making a 6 kW generator will cost $1200 in mass production, value of energy produced yearly $5400.

I am looking for $300 000 for a prototype and $3M for patents.

  • @henrykay01 ... You sound so desperate, I am sure you have tried everything before you come to this point. The only way you have to actually make some money is the open source. Make a website let us know what you achieved convince us and you can make less than what you are asking but still good money from selling plans and advertising on your website plus you will be a hero.

  • @4245047 Actually things look good - I have a list of interested investors, plus someone helping me to get all the money needed.

  • @henrykay01 You might be a genius and I apologize for describing you as a desperate but you are the one who was seeking help in your first comment. I really wish you luck but in my personal opinion your idea will never see light this way unless you go to the open source and maybe JUST maybe you get some money.

  • @4245047 It is almost like thinking that before e.g. helicopter was invented, the way to make sure it is implemented is to publish the plans. You are naive in your open source suggestion.

  • @henrykay01 If I am naïve to suggest the open source then you are delusional because your suggestion contradicts the thermodynamic laws and you throw your name and your phone number and expecting investors to call you and offer you tons of money just because you said so. If you are trying a scam you have to be more clever and if you are for real show people what you are talking about and if you actually believe what you are saying I feel sorry for you.

  • @4245047 As I say, I have a proof that it is possible to violate the law of energy conservation. Also, I already have a list of interested investors.

  • @henrykay01 Make a video of your "proof" and post it on youtube or explain what it is or forever hold your peace and stop this nonsense by making these crazy claims. I hope this list of "investors" have your phone number oh I forgot you posted it on youtube.

  • @4245047 I have a theoretical proof. I can send it by email. No need for a video.

  • @henrykay01 Then please send it and lets take a look at your breakthrough.

  • @4245047 My email address is in my contact box. Send me an email and I will send you a proof. The proof is based on a different phenomenon than my invention.

  • @henrykay01 man,no offense, but you really need to study realtivity and it's causes,

if it's false then some other theory is needed to justify maxwell's equations.

  • @andy1166948 The actual force behind relativity theory is the "need" to defend the interests of coal/oil/gas business. Once you know that special relativity is completely false, you can discover that it is possible to violate energy conservation. It is possible to discover it without refuting relativity, but it is difficult to do. Relativity is not needed to justify Maxwell's equations.

  • @henrykay01 maxwell's equations make speed of light a constant. then either special relativity is true or maxwell's equations are false.

  • @andy1166948 The truth is that there is absolute space and speed of light in vacuum is = c with respect to this absolute space. Maxwell's equations have to be viewed in this context. It was known to physicists in 19th century, but then Einstein's lie took over and not that many people know the truth. And overwhelming majority of those that do know the truth, lie and support relativity to defend the interests of coal/oil/gas business.

  • @henrykay01 yeah,it'as called aether, all these phenomenons are explained in detail in the wikibook for special relaivity.and it clearly states that experiment don't agree with existance of such media.

  • @andy1166948 Try to see the Michelson-Morley experiment. It is all a BIG LIE.

  • @henrykay01 no offence,but from my point of view,whom should i believe,

1)the whole science community for which relativity is a basic theory.

2)a guy who states that the whole science community is wrong.

you may be right, but yeah,i don't believe in ghosts and even god while everybody around me says that it's all true.

  • @andy1166948 As I said: try to SEE the Michelson-Morley experiment.

  • @henrykay01 i know about michelson morley experiment.they tried to find out that to how much extent earth moves relatively to aether by measuring difference in speed of light in different directions.but the results were surprising.they found that earth is always stationary wrt aether.

that's why einstein derived postulates of special relativity.

  • @andy1166948 The point is that what you know about the outcome of the Michelson-Morley experiment is a LIE. Try to see this experiment.

  • @henrykay01 what do you mean by seeing the experiment?

  • @andy1166948 This is what I mean: SEE the experiment, see if there is no movement of the diffraction fringes upon turning the Michelson-Morley interferometer.

  • Is it still possible to buy a SeaHawk? Wasn't Pacwind purchased by another company? ( We Power ) And We Power doesn't sell SeaHawks....??!!??

  • remember that video with the cat that got stuck to the ceiling fan and spun around and around and around?

  • nice outfit.how come this unit cost so much??why ??

  • hope that woman does not raise her arm over her head, or else whoosh, off it goes lool

very pretty wind turning machine :)

  • Comment removed

  • That is too close! One wrong move and she would an ex hot chick!

  • i think ill get one and put it on my roof to power my cannabis crop :)

  • There are dozens of manufacturers who make this design.

  • Ok,perfetta

  • BOOM HEADSHOT!

  • nice tits

  • Please Web page name??

Por favor la pagina web de este video

  • The blades should move a bit. search for van wyk turbine

  • One day..you are going to see this (suitable version) in every house...

  • Most sensible wind generator ive seen.Blades being far enough out from the axis the generate more torque. This design will rule the future of wind energy technology

  • @Gunnarsguns

Yeah. That is a good VAWT design. I agree.

  • problem with PacWind is they charge way too much for their VAWTs. I can buy a 20kW propane generator for under $5K while PacWind want's $10K for their 5kW. That's pretty damn sad.

  • Why do people still say "w w w dot" when it is no longer needed ?

  • So that a person is warned that a website is about to be given.

  • Great, quiet wind turbine !!

  • Thanks for the demo video! Turbine looks GREAT!!

  • Do you guys make 10 kw and 20 kw units ?

  • That wasn't silent at all, I heard it whining..

Wait, Oh my bad.. :) that was her!

    oO

  • JUMP!!

  • Vertical axis wind turbines are great. Check out my video where I tested different blade configurations with lego turbine.

  • What was the website?? I want to look into these.

  • i want that turbine...good job

  • OMD...that thing looked like it was goin to cut her head off clean lol!!

  • It did but they edited it out!!!

  • It would've been a sight to see no doubt. :-P

  • I'd like to spin her turbines :D

  • Below as a reply to aviers comment, looks like YouTubes reply function is on he blink again

  • Fantastic!

  • my wind power vids have a go at the NIMBYs...

  • HAHAHA such a huge thing.. only 5KW ??? :D:D

I think you can get more with a smaller model.

  • Dilekz..It is actually 10kw in a 28mph wind. PacWind has smaller units that are already CEC certified. This unit is going through the same data collection process and will have certs soon. Which means good rebates in CA for net metering. All units can be scaled and are stackable to increase power needs.

  • I can´t find a link/url to the company

    or their products...

  • How strange that this should be their only video on youtube. The website shows many products and it would be wonderful to have a peek at the various possible implementations. I really want more information, more feel.

If these turbines are as wonderful as advertised I would seriously consider getting into debt to get one, rebates and incentives notwithstanding. The way I see it, it would be a way of helping my nephew from being sent to war overseas when he's grown.

  • Yes, they should certainly post more videos of their products.

  • It would be nice if I could see the web site name so I could check out the price.

  • Pacwind is so difficult to reach they might as well go out of business. ~sigh~

  • Jay Leno's wind turbine. Must be expensive.

  • For the record...Jay Leno was never charged for his turbine. He would have paid if we asked him to, however the publicity we have recieved is far more valuable than his money. We never made any exchanges or agreements with Jay to talk about our turbine...he just does. We did not seek him out or any other customer...our customers come to us. We are very grateful for Jay Leno, however there are many who are not famous and we are grateful to them as well.

  • I'd like to spin her turbines :D

  • biodcel you are so stupid and you comment are so retard like you small brain

  • melecio1...I think biodcel is a telephone gangster too!!! HA!! Maybe e-thug??? Thank you for your comment.

  • Don't worry about the city - install your turbine and if they make a fuss, contact your local newspaper and YOU make a fuss.

Now how long does this thing last, what's the maintenance schedule ?

  • I like that advice.

  • miRajY...THere is no maintenance required. I would think that the bearing may need to be replaced in about 25 years or so. We expect our turbines to last a VERY long time; we have tried to engineer them to last a lifetime however mother nature can be destructive.

  • Anyone know where i can get the plans.

  • I would like to get a Delta I 2kw system.

How hard is it to get city permits?

I'm scared to even call the city about it. (they own the power company here)

  • mcrickman...what state/city are you located in? VAWTS (Vertical Axis Wind Turbines)don't usually have ordiances against them because most cities banned HAWTS (Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine) due to noise pollution. I have heard of some people calling them "emergency generators". Have a licensed contractor who has installed solar in you areas get a permit for you. They should have good knowledge.

  • have you seen windside dot com

  • Yes, we are familiar with most vertical wind turbine companies and are appreciative of anyone out there who is working hard to make a difference environmentally speaking.

  • There is a turbine like this in Devon U.K that is now out of comission as It was not possible to control the speed of rotation I.E it would get to fast and run away with itself!!

How have you overcome this problem??

  • By changing the shape of the foil. There is a dynamic difference which controls upper end speed.

  • Our turbines are self regulating....no brakes. That's why we have a patent on our turbines. Our blade shape and placement are unique and nobody else can make them. They will not over-spin once they reach a certain speed.

  • Oh great!!!

Patents on "get out of oil-generated-dependencies-wars"

    You are awesome dude!

  • Capitalism...? People have to make a living. You can make it off war, or you can make it off peace. You should be glad PacWind isn't boasting of patented munitions.

  • agreed, would be nice to see a paradigm change. I say a movement for all renewable energy and related design advancements to be declared common property - be it wind, solar, tidal... Anyone else wonder how long it will take for wind to be factored into property prices and taxes?

  • No, patents as in stopping unscrupulous individuals ripping off other peoples hard work and research.

If wasn't for people like Pacwind you would be well and truly under the thumb of the Saudi's!

  • No, patents as in stopping unscrupulous individuals ripping off other peoples hard work and research.

If wasn't for people like Pacwind you would be well and truly under the thumb of the Saudi's!

  • what would be wrong with overspinning?.... wouldn`t they just produce more energy? There is nobody on the roof who can get hurt (besides perhaps birds)...

  • It costs money to replace a damaged turbine.

  • Turbines that over spin tend to fly apart...it's an inherent problem for traditional style turbines.

  • @mdoll1972 they have small brakes to slow it down, and if the wind is too much it locks and should not turn at all. but usually the wind is too little, and not vice versa, at least where I come from, in the Middle East, there is not much wind :)

  • @patrickardahalian PacWind's blade shape creates drag in higher winds that causes them to have a max rotational speed, hence all the patents they have on their units. No brakes required, and they've been tested up to hurricane force winds.

  • Is there any way to contact you or your company. I've been trying for the last 2 or 3 days. Thanks

  • For some reason I can not post our web address, so I updated the description to include our website. If you just add "dot net" to the company name you should find us fine.

  • What was your website?

  • Can u make a turbine which make power 3kw at 3meater per sec

  • Yes.

  • our site is freeenergymaldives

and can u get us the specfication and a price

  • A PacWind representative will be contacting you.

  • thanks for your help he can contact my personal mail

  • How much does it cost?

  • Thats the coolest wind turbine I have ever seen. Best of Luck. Ed @ S-M-Beach

  • Plase add subtitles i can't hear her.

  • I will be adding a video taped closer to the evening, which will greatly reduce the surrounding noise. Thank you for the comment.
