Aw, c'mon, folks ... comparing Page and Haynes is like comparing Yngwie Malmsteen and Joe Pass. Don't go there -- it's apples and oranges. Haynes drank from the same well as Page -- blues, pentatonic licks, etc., but they went off in different directions. Page doesn't and didn't jam like Haynes in the Allman Brothers style, and even when Haynes is playing metal (like War Pigs), he's still in the blues rock/jam band camp. But Haynes knows a good tune, and he's honoring Page with that big bend.

Warren Haynes is a respectable person, who simply respects people and true fellow musicians...The guy just appreciates good, quality music...

Listen, I am taking nothing away from Warren Haynes. I've seen him hundreds of times all over the country. Jimmy reinvented the blues with this song something that is nearly impossible to do. Warren is one of the greatest working guitarists out there. Its so sad that the Mule are taking a break. They covered achilles last stand new years eve in nyc. Another Jimmy Page Tune. out of all the songs in the world he covered jimmy. That speaks to the admiration Warren has for Jimmy.

Jimmy Was one of the original great rock guitarists. Warren is one of todays greatest. I am going to have to say that warren haynes is technically better but then again we never got to see the true Jimmy Progress due to his drug abuse and then bonham died. Amazing to know what Page and Zep would have done if bonham hadn't died.
