Thanks for the compliment. I try to work on my hi hat skills to enhance each song we play. Just a way to groove without getting in the way of the groove.
Listening to it again, I 2nd 219Dave - your drummer has it down. If the drummer doesn't get it, the bass player doesn't get it, and then the guitars have nothing to lay on top of. I believe it all starts with the drummer - the guy that gets laid the least in the band. (Which is okay if he's married!)
Guitar, bass and drums only. We've talked about adding a keyboard player before, but bars don't pay alot for 4 sets of music, so we pull it off with the three of us.
Cool song! But TheArmoredPanther has the best version on his account, if you ask me. Still, this is the first time I have heard this tune covered by another band other than the Climax Blues Band and it's good to hear!
You know what....the more I think about it and the more I watch this video....the more I like this band's cover of this song BETTER then the original! And that's something you hardly ever hear me say. I am just absolutely impressed and amazed at this band. Sure do wish they'd stop by Knoxville, TN!
Thanks Rockyraccoon! We sure do appreciate the nice comment. Mike, the bass player, has played at the blues competition in Memphis, but not in Knoxville. It would be nice to play a venue out of Michigan. Perhaps someday. Take care and thanks again!
One thing is for sure - that is the best cover of this song I have ever heard and I have heard several. This one sounded almost just like the original by the Climax Blues Band. Great job guys!
Like it!

On behalf of drummers everywhere, I'd argue that we get it a little more than bass players. LOL.

But probably not as much as female bass players.... ;-)

Excellent cover. It's solid, tight and good to hear this old CCB song.
Btw, Colin Copper the lead singer of the Climax Blues Band passed away last week. Huge loss.
