  • the film is exclusively composed of footage shot over the week that Israel withdrew settlers from Gaza in August 2005.

In June 2006, following the abduction of an Israeli soldier, Israeli forces launched a military campaign against Gaza. The incident involving the power station in Gaza happened over ten months AFTER the film was made.

  • This film shows that while Israel or Israeli opinion is often presented as a unified whole, nothing of the sort exists. The spectrum of opinion varies from genuinely wanting a lasting peace (and hating their government's actions), to hating Arabs. For those seriously interested in peace, engaging the former is essential - as things stand they become subject to anti-Israeli diatribes which unfairly equate them with racists.

  • amazing how you fail to recognize that since the withdrawl, israel dramatically stepped up its hold on gaza/westbank. So there was withdrawl, but with an increased military/"security" presence. This included blowing up Gaza's only major power plant (this prevents water treatment and purification, etc). If Palestinians blew up such a thing in Israel, what would the reaction be?
