Do I here laughter? There must be a cultural misunderstanding here, 'Abide with Me' is surely one of the most moving hymns to accompany the funeral of someone you loved very much.
It´s not a misunderstanding. It was a christmas celebration in a church and the guests had some coffee and cake. It´s not a birthday party and nothing else.
