  • Amazing

  • Giselle = Perfect

esmeralda = too sweet :) BE the character :)

  • Ah yes, the vicious cycle of students cheering for high "a la sabesques". The more they cheer, the more dancers think this is good ballet when it's really just a cheap knockoff.

  • Beautiful legato between steps. She has a special quaity but some issues ie winged arabesque and sloppy passe may be preferences and limitations from her training. Hopefully she will be able to train outside of Korea and become an international dancer. Thank you for posting, and best wishes.

  • nice arabesques, but most of the times her hips aren't square

  • In my opinion not Giselle,I am sorry. And beautiful arabeques,but...Giselle should not be that!! Much better in Esmeralda, even if those high legs..it seems gymnastics..

  • the pirouettes are really terrible. sloppy poor training. a passe ends in passe then you do fifth or fourth or go into another move.

  • This is being super picky, but i wish her passe' was higher in her pirouettes, and aren't the releve's at the end of the esmerala variation supposed to be devant, not second? She is fabulous, and actually has good timing(unlike so many today), but I would much rather see an arabesque slightly above 90 rather than some freakishly high, hip open thing like that. And yeah, the audience is super annoying in this video.

  • Her great character and personality really exudes the spirit of the dance!!! :D her timings are perfect.

  • just gorgeous ı love it...

  • That's not an arabesque... Her hips are OPEN almost to second. But she is a lovely dancer,

  • shes amazing but i cant tell if hegs behind her

  • i like koreans they even woohooo when u lift ur leg high but in hong kong, the audience look all dead if u turn 20 fouttes they dont even did a single clap!!!

  • She's a magnificent dancer--what an arabesque! I really enjoyed her Giselle, particularly the beginning and the toe hop part.

Yeah, the audience is kinda making too big a deal of it, though :\ it's a bit distracting

  • a variação de giselle eh muito boa

  • I think this is the best version of this variation I have ever seen! She had great personality and stage presence and her technique is flawless!

  • i wish i could turn off the audience

  • where was the audience reared :O

  • her moves are so gooey it looks like she's in slow motion...

    beautiful

  • omg! that was fantastic!!!!!! what an arabesque!!!! :O

  • the most beautiful esmeralda i've ever seen.

  • The audience is rlly being silly. I mean ... they're aaah-ing and oooh-ing when she does triple piruette. It's really silly. Even though the dancer is good.

  • @BalletVoldy maybe it's sort of a cultural habit in Korea? Just like japanese audiences tend to sit in a rock concert just politely clapping. ;-)

  • @Cathayline lol I think it is

  • @BalletVoldy the audience is over enthusiastic prolly because they know the dancer...im sure all her colleagues and classmates are there to support her...

  • @BalletVoldy It's because almost all of the competitors are from certain art high schools... It's a small society. They know the dancers.

  • @BalletVoldy i guess its kinda annoying but i totally understand cuz don't you just feel like your heart's gonna pop out when a dancer does something completely surreal? i know i do.

  • wow amazing!!!

i wish i had those long legs!!!

  • I love the "shimmys" in esmerelda personally...they're tastefull ballet shimmies of course =-)

  • I love the ooooo and the ahhhhs from her arebesque piques. I am like goodness I cannot stop laughing at the audience. The dancer is gorgeous with her dancing. but I mean a pique arebesque is a pique arebesque folks.

  • are you bein a hater????!??!?!

    lol

shes a beast, unforunately some people cant pique arabesque like she can

  • I am actually not being a hater. I just found it funny on if you listen to just the audience, and not the dancer, you'll see their reactions emphasize the smiling factor.

  • wow .........

    she's so graceful and sharp
