its certainly isnt. look at lomac and DCS graphics and tell me why fsx is so frame heavy.

this engine is so much more effcient (DCS) for example autogen is so frame friendly and detailed mapping. its incredible. fsx's engine is great.. but when you compare it, it would turn out something like fsx is as effcieint as a hairdryer

I'm pretty sure Lock on and DCS: Black Shark have very different graphics, my brother has lock on and I've get DCS: BS and from what I have seen DCS is considerably better and he was just talking about lock on so he's right about FSX being better if he means Black Shark aswell then yes you are right

yeah your right too, DCS's engine is an imrpooved version of lock on, featuring high detailed bump maps water effects etc.

but it's very obvius when your skimming your autogen trees, in black shark they eat your dust. in FSX its like your taking pictures as you fly past becuase your frame rate is so slow.

then again DCS is only in 1 area where as fsx is in the world. still doesnt defeat DCS's engine IMO though :-)

There is no flyable F16, neither in 1.0 nor in Flaming Cliffs. These Planes are AI-Planes. Or they were made flyable with modding but with different cockpit (no changes possible here ´cause its hardcoded). And you cannot open the Hangar doors, only the AI can. So i guess this is just a very good compilation of filmed little pieces drawn together to a big video. But freakin´ well done anyway ;)

lock-on defianatly competes with fsx. i reckon fsx it more realistic in real world terms, but lock-on has cooler graphics.

well I will say it again, @6:40 the viper banks left and on the right ring pylon he is still carrying a a2g big boy, just before this shot it shows both of his weapons striking the bridges, I mean its not a big deal but it caught my eye, I understand his wingman was carrying a2g as well but his load out was cluster, ohh and has anyone ever seen a viper with 120's where the aim-9 should be and aim-9's where the amraam goes >> still one of the best lock on videos :)

P.S yeah i agree with you on the AIM-9 and AIM-120 loadout that the AIM-9 is more siuted to be on the outside wing pylon but even the airforce puts them on the inner one. Amazing video btw 5 star. Have played this game myself i know how hard it is to do such stuff

true...the graphics of this game are far more superior than falcon 4.0. however falcon 4.3 and 4.5 have much much better graphics and nothing still, havent suppassed the realism of falcon series. A falcon game with the graphics of lock on. that whould be something... Anyway lock on is a fine game but it has much russian propaganda regarding the aircrafts and that makes me angry.

Amen, Eagle rocks. However, you're looking at combat kills. In training exercises, 6 Eagles would go up agianst a lone Raptor, and get hammered three times a day. Nevertheless, I'm an Eagle fan to the end, best jet ever, even if it's not as good ;)

Pretty much, the F-22 is just in a league of it's own nothing else is even vaguely close. It makes anything else in the air today look like a relic from the 20th century it's just that damn good, nothing can touch it outside ludicrously contrived circumstances. Flankers stand a good chance against most american aircraft. look at India's SU-30MKI. Thrust vectored aircraft with 2/3 the radar visual range of a recon plane. Theres no way you can argue that the raptor wouldn't be seen. especially in enemy airspace. Passive radars can find these aircraft with the best of stealth technology. An Su-30MKI will match an F-22

No they can't, some ultra low frequncy sets can tell something MIGHT be around, but they can't provide anything beyond a vauge warning certainly not enough to guide an intercept or target weapons. Beating stealth is not as simple as just pumping out more radar energy, visual and infared scanning is worthless as a search tool at best you can scan a tiny portion of the sky at a time and infared scatters bad in air, beyond a few dozen miles its useless.

Actually the F-22 can out turn the Flankers, and they would never get with in range of cannons anyway as the F-22 has a feature which allows them to link their missles up to the AWACs radar, or even allow other jets behind them to target the aircraft and then they fire their missles, never having to turn on their radar.
