  • If u wanna keep ur knees from blowing up, don't go as far down on the leg press as he did. These are good exercises but if u go that far it puts too much stress on ur knees and back. The contraction is completed before ur knees reach ur chest.

  • good video, im not sure if its my speakers or not, but it kind of hard to hear you, because it sounds like your at a distance, also i was wondering if it would be good if i were to the three width variations on leg press for 4 sets each in a row, because i recently ruptured my Plantar fasciitis and cant do anything that involves pushing with my toes, so would that be a good compromise for other lifts? thank you

  • @mxlucas250 The flat soles of the shoe are good for leg exercises. Watch powerlifters squat, deadlift, etc and you can see they all wear flat soled shoes

  • Im very intrigued to try this workout as my legs are one of my weaker points in my training schedule. Just want to comment on the way that you fully extend your legs during the pressing. Surely loading all of that weight onto your joints is going to severely damage them and take the weight off of your muscle.. ? Overall Im impressed and look forward to trying this.

  • @eewarze, yo imma "x" cross-fitter I was actually taught the same thing knees over toes, but then I ended up tearing my meniscus I had to change my way of thinking when I went threw physical therapy..I actually jus got back on my feet and had to re-direct my whole squat training, now I never let my knees pass n feel it a whole lot more then I did then, I'm not saying it's bad jus f u are going to squat that deep u need to rely and work on your flexibility to not cause injury. I'd suggest Yoga &

  • @Jonskiiih you need to use the weight that will make your muscles brief struggle until they get past parralel , u must struggle at EVERY rep, see then soreness

  • @sdfefde I'm struggling at every rep, except the first.. 5 ones? I'm using as must resistance as I'm allowed to and I'm half dead in the end of the workout and it is hard for me to walk, but I still never find my legs sore... I was only asking is it worth it to do 1 more set, which I now actually do anyways. :D

  • @pearnomore I my opinion its not a recipe for being a pussy, almost every HUGE bodybuilder iv seen workout does not go as deep or extend as long as you do and your upper body looks massive but I think your legs could use more pump.

  • Great workout, I´m sure that'll kill your quads :) Not sure that it´ll kill your hams though, there isn´t too much work for those in that workout. Not saying you do, but many people tend to train their quads way way more than their hams, which is not very smart - or healthy. The workout here is still rocking, though :) Keep videos coming

  • Hey guys, when i lift heavy, for example bicep exercises, my fingers start to hurt? It is like I cannot hold on the DBs? Anyone experience or experienced the same problems or know why it does that? Also when I do Pull Ups, any good exercise for fingers/wrist/palm, anything that can help my hands stay holdinng the target.

  • @SilentWalk18 do heavy deadlifts, in the last set always hold the top of the lift for 7 seconds. Do deadlifts 3 times a week. Do pinch exercises..etc..

  • Subscribed to these videos a while ago. Glad I did. I always learn a couple of things from watching pearnomore's videos. Good to see someone putting in the time and effort to help others with their fitness goals.

    One thing I may struggle with is being in a busy gym having the equipment free when I need it without waiting may be an issue. Going to do this routine to the best of my abilities tomorrow. Thank you for the upload. Keep them coming.

  • one word of advice is dont lock your knee caps when doing the leg press. It's bad for your knees.

  • Going too deep with the leg press is a recipe for rounding your lower back!

  • @alxhlb NOT going deep enough with your leg press is a recipe for being a pussy. Contract your core muscles throughout this movement to maintain contact with the back pad and you won't have this problem.

    I have a question about the benefits of pushing through the toes vs. through the heel on leg exercises.  This is an intense quadricep workout, made more focussed by pushing through toes on presses and elevating your heels on squats. To cause hypertrophy on hamstrigs and glutes, should one push more through the heel? I want to balance my overdeveloped quads with bigger hams and glutes. Thanks mate! Tim in Boston

  • Be careful with the bouncing on the lockouts on the squat and the leg press - this tends to fuck up your knees pretty fast, especially with the heavy weights.

  • Question: in exercise #3, you use dumbbells. I found it putting quite some stress on the shoulders. Why do you prefer dumbbells more than a barbell?

  • Thanks Reuben. So, I've always read that these leg press movements should always be pressed from the heel, they generally say that pressing from front of foot puts stress on knees? Can you explain again the difference of hell and toe and any dangers we should be aware of when doing either? Thanks!
