I'v heard of this video/film for the past 20 years and thought it was a big budget film with a large cast and shot sort of like Pipes of Peace. It was even in the Cannes Film Festival but it is pretty weak and shot on video and looks sophomoric. The songs are badly produced and Ringo sounds like he's trying to sound and look new-wave yet the country influence really owns the tone of the piece. Still, it was nice seeing it and sad that it was not well made.

Yeah, the purpose was to promote the (then) new Ringo album "Stop And Smell The Roses". And these three tracks were the ones done by Ringo and Paul McCartney (two written by Paul). The Harrison songs sadly didn't get a film made, and Ringo was too heartsick to even record the Lennon songs after John's assassination. It was meant to be a '3 brothers helping out a 4th brother' album (all 4 Beatles on one album but only 2 per track). The film debuted May 24, 1982 at the Cannes Film Festival.

Ringo also made at least THREE more videos to promote this same album. "Wrack My Brain", "Brandy", "Stop And Smell The Roses". "Wrack..." was a Harrison song but he couldn't get to the shoot, so he sent Dracula, Frankenstein and the Mummy. :o) It's amusing!

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know what else I can say more about it. I can't say I liked the second song as much as "Attention" or "Private Property", but everything else was fantastic. I had the song "Private Property" stuck in my head for about a week after I first saw it!
