Most people do not understand that these first electric vehicules are only opening the market. The full sized VEs will have a range of about 150km and at best they will be bought by people as 2nd car. But the first client will be state and private companies for their fleets (most of whom are used at urban/suburban transportation) - especially interested by the low maintenance costs and high car value (given that the battery is rented - as the Renault scheme correctly proposes).

You will be able to unlock it by your key, like you open your car door I guess. If someone attacks it? Well people attack just any car so you risk not anything more than you risk having any other type of car.
i think the zero looks nice the way it is, looks fun to drive. i think th first one should be more like a go-kart lower to the ground with good power and handling. people are more likely to buy a one or two seater car if its immensely fun to drive.

Power plants are generally more then twice as efficient as car engines. hybrids are a good step in the right direction, but not the prius, it's a piece of shit and not that efficient. a plug in hybrid like the chevy volt is a far better option

What makes me laugh about these cars being plugged in and left is the obvious risk that some hooligan can just unplug it for a laugh. Only you wont be laughing when you come back to the car and find the battery is still flat.

That will be a laugh, but I think cameras will be set up and anyone who would unplug a car will be fined. I travel by tram and if you wont buy a ticket for 1euro 50. You can get 45 euro fine. correct but we tend to look at the negative points of EV and forget the negative points of a classic car because we are used to it. What if someone sticks a banana in your outlet, or steals your gas? Besides your battery be very unlikely to be fully decharged also. Because a very large proportion of our drives dont exceed nearly the 100 mile range, providing you could charge at a large number of spots. What ive seen it works together with a mobile device so you can always see the charge status.
