The moderator is a well known scholar who not only debated/presented on this show specific/relevant arguments, but also supported his position(s) with a plethora of diverse but well established scholar/academic authority.

If you couple the above with the fact that he is the one paying for every second his show was aired, I believe he has the right to steer his show in whichever way he deems proper as long as it is reasonable and not sinful!

Spong shows remarkable patience through this whole thing. He doesn't lash out although it would be perfectly understandable. Notice how quickly the "traditional" christians launch into personal attack mode. That's the thing about these, types. They feel they have to baby and protect everyone. Why not just have a rational debate with argument, and not just double team the other guy and talk about how he's an awful christian? it would be much more interesting.

Something occured to me...do angels even have a gender?

According to Jesus, angels "neither marry nor are given in marriage" (Mk 12:25). Does this mean angels are without gender? Not necessarily. However, in Gen 18 and 19 these 2 angels take the form of men. These angels were not human, but they appeared as human, i.e. they appeared to be men.
