I have my first AP test this Friday....my AP European Test! and I have to admit that I was not the most hardworking student....but I really do love history and Europe! I really want to do good so I will know that I am worthy of studying history in the future...so thanks for your help!! ........do you have any random helpful test tips?
Sorry guy, but Napoleon didn't want to ruled the world! That's what English think about Napoleon, but that's bullshit. He sold Louisiana to the US, for exemple. With the 130 departements France (from Atlantic to River Rhein), he had enough to do. But the other kings and emperors didn't accept the French Revolution, so they put on several coalitions against France. France beat them all, except ther last one, of course. Napoleon introduced French Revolution ideals and tools all over Europe.
It could be argued that french revolution didnt end when napolean took over. Some historians claim that the revolution still continues today, although that is taking it a little too far imo. Also, id just like to say Europe isn't just about the two world wars, open a textbook and learn a little bit more about europe before you just start screaming about the USA and how it "saved europe." For the most part, for most of Europe's history the USA didn't even exist.
Even though people considered Napoleon dictatorial, he was in fact quite liberal. For example, his Concordat with the Pope kept him from giving up Catholic lands from the French Revolution. Mostly though Napoleon wanted centralization and efficiency, some of the hallmarks of the French.
Oh ok yes United States saved Europ twice. Let me see who the fuck is going to believe you on that. Frickin retard the most they did was aid in soldier and supplies plus fianacal aid. Russia did most of the work including britian, and france cuase you know why? They're in Europe! The Pacific war was mostly fault between United States and Japan but Russia came to help United States too but the war ended with the Atomic bombing. Even without the Bombing Japan would had still lost. Allied agaisnt 1
@animemanga15 Russia did do a lot of the work and britain did to but they would of lost if the US didn't come and help plus France did not do anything they lost in the first year
I diaagree thegermanator123 soviets lost 1 million troops because hitler had to send troops to fight on a north africa/italian front and a french front thus weakened the german line on the Soviet front enableing the soviets to invade easier simple as that
he answered at least 11 questions on my AP final by this video and helped me on a french essay part c. :D thx dude. french revo. i used some of your words in the essay. passed the test with a 4 after having a low c the whole year. also go to the cave online if you need ap european history help. i heard that it is today O.O so study up
You must be quite dumb to be a history teacher and still think that the Americans "saved" Europe. One needs only to read a textbook on 20th century European history to see that in WWI Germany was defeated from within and in WWII the USSR was what won the war for the Allies.
Remember that American pretty much gave out blank checks to the Allies in both wars. While Europe's economies were being demolished, the US was prospering by staying out of the wars for as long as possible. The US was a big player in both wars. Read a textbook.
my teacher needs to give u a bit of a history lesson
come on....what did the US do?
the US doesnt know shit about war, never went through it, poor soldiers are dying in Iraq because of a loser president who wanted revenge for his damn daddy who started the whole thing
but anyways, dont mess with Europeans, or will mess u up
I'm not saying the US is perfect, but they did aid WWI and WWII immensely. Prior to American intervention, the allies were on a losing streak. It was fresh American troops and financial aid that gave new life to the Allied cause in WWI. When they pushed into Europe itself on the coast of Normandy--in combination with the Russian sweep into Berlin, of course--they were able to force the Germans back into their borders. And let's not forget about Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and the Marshal Plan.
I am so good damn tired of Americans having to remind us that they saved us.Why did the USA step in to WW1 and WW2?It was simply because America wanted free trade and was loosing a lot of money because of the war.Not to mention the fear of an allmighty German or Russian state that would challenge the USA.And if it wasnt for America i bet Europe would be less dependent on American finances.FFS why cant americans be more humble for once in their lives?Im so tired of the "we are the best"-speeches
rofl the US was actually making a lot of money from the European war since they were hte ones supplying most of the weapons and supplies...they only entered because of the Germans attacking the Lusitania and there unrestricted submarine warfare, oh and we are the best
59 trillion USD. in dept deep vault gold reserves. All your main trading partners have no more gold reserves. and seen as you are going to create the NAU to try to match the eus economy the mexicans wont be leaving
Quentin, please rephrase your comment regarding my country's economy. I find it difficult to understand your Irish slang and grammatical errors. The Mexicans will leave eventually because people like me are fed up with them and we will soon be forced to take drastic measures to forcibly turn them back. As far as our economy, our median household income is 15 thousand dollars more per year than Ireland's so as I said, we will be fine.
Did he just reduce the onset of World War II to homeless aristocratic drunk men? I think he's downplaying the importance of the Treaty of Versailles and Central Europe's revisionist interests.
america didn't exactly save europe in ww2... when america lended germany money to build up their economy all was fine untill the american economy went down the drain and germany had to give the money back.... drunken germany was poor again, got pissed and started a fight... yay!
napoleon was a nice bloke and he should of united the world. US didnt save europe out of the kindness of their hearts, they did it for their own benefits. WW1 without US allies would lose, ww2 russia did 70% of the job
world war II have you ever heard of the eastern front 8 out of 10 germans died on the eastern front, you learnt your history during the cold war that much is obvious no serious historians believe that america beat germany all know it was russia
america won world war I, ha ha thats like having a boxing match were two boxers fight for 14 rounds and then a fresh one comes in the 15th and knocks one out laughable
the americans killed old europe?? SHUT UP ! at least europe is more than a couple of hundred years war and besides we have history ;} but yeah american power will eventually fall just like it happened to europe, RIGHT ;D
Also, after WWI, Europe DID NOT want to start another World War. With the raise of Hitler, and the "ism" (prim. Nationalism) which brought new powers.
Europe didn't try to pick a fight. WWI was a pointless war, a chain reaction started with a little conflict from the Balkans.
WWII was different, it was for a reason. Europe tries to avoid the war through appeasement.
I think you forgot Napoleon's Hundred Days March back to power. The Battle of Waterloo against the Duke of Wellington. These are essential event. Also, you completely forgot the mention the French Third Republic. You completely ignore the Revolutions of 1848's. In addition, you fail to mention the Crimean War and how it lead to changes within Russia.
I personally like the hand motion, jokes, and props. It makes it easier to remember the information. Keep up the good work on bashing the French Edmonds!
