There is a lesson for all Xizang ethnic minorities (formerly called Tibetans) that 99.999% of the world's population believed that Xizang province (Tibet in English) is a part of China. The 2008 Beijing Olympics Games had been very, very successful and the Best in History. It made many billions of people in this world Happy. If you so choose, yes. If you want to protest that Ireland and Scotland shouldn't be constituent countries of the UK, but rather independent nations - you can. That's freedom of speech.
I agree with the Iraq war being an invasion, it shouldn't have happened.
As for how the UK got their colonies, yes, we took them over - however when they were in a state to rule themselves, under the Commonwealth, they were allowed.
We never deny that we invaded these countries, unlike the Chinese Government.

I'm an advocate of free speech, democracy, and human rights before I am an advocate of my country.
Personally, I think disrupting the actual relay is a step too far, however, they are not breaking the law - so if people choose to protest our torch relay, let them.
I think 'congratulate' is the wrong word; I 'congratulate' those protesting for Tibet as I agree with the cause. However, I will do them no hindrance, and shan't speak against anyone exercising their free speech, merely their cause.

What a disgrace. London and the UK will be badly hurt and embarrassed by these events. I am ashamed. Targeting Athletes and sport to make political points? It was always going to be a disaster. Protesters might have valid causes, but they seem very stupid and narrow minded in their tactics. Free Tibet? Yes. Bring violence to the streets of London? A big NO!! I don't think the Dalai Lama would agree to these tactics either.

Eh, that's because the boundary was drawn in such a way that Protestants would always be in the majority. That's a doctored majority, not real democracy.

Absolutly right, they won´t split Tibet from China, but they want their right. The right of autonomy, of free religion, of speak their language and live their culture. This is what stand in the contract between Tibet and Mao, undersigned of them. Chinese people know this? Or their govt concealed this too?

This Olympic Torch journy is for peace. World have a long way to go for peace because too many people enjoy a violent way.

my friend, it is sad to see that such a small piece of mouse crap can ruin the entire bowl of soup. I don't believe this well-organized sabotage is only supported by free-tibet people. Many dirty people are play something evil to insult China and hope can gain some advantage over china in future negotiation/trade. That is my thought. They are making enemies by themselves.

I am a Chinese Canadian, but I was born in China, I love Canada and China these two country, it is very natural. When western media told too many lies about Tibet and China, I support China and the government, when Canada critize China's political pressure in Chinese people, I support Canada. Is this not reasonable?
