Units that are nondeployable (like here in Japan) are only filled to 70% of the target. So, it's highly unlikely you'll get here unless you know someone who has access to EDAS and can see a requisition we need. Basically, we have FEW slots and branch probably won't fill them.

Yeah, but if you get Korean why would they send you to Japan? One of the buddies got picked up for SF with Korean and they're shipping him out of Torii.
doesnt matter what asian language you have if you want to go to torii they'll send you to torii. 1st group goes to more than half of all the asian countries out here.

You can qualify for PFC upon entering the army if you have at least 50 college units

I know it won't make much of a difference while at basic, but I'm going to Fort Benning on October 28th.
Is it possible for me to go from E-1 to E-3 while in basic?
If so, is it likely?

E-1 through E-4 works on time in grade and time in service.
E-5 through O-10 (sergeant through general) work on a point system.
