  • Hi, I'm looking for a software that plays 24 shots/sec. I scanned 24 different images and I wanted to make a really short animation but iMovie isn't fast enough. It looks like the guy is half sleeping while walkin, haha...

Anyways, what kind of software do you use?

  • Very nice! This is a hard run to do! Drawing a dog run from behind is tough!

  • its so cute! 8O

  • How the hell did you do that

  • whoa! awesome!!!

  • make a rpg plz 0__0

  • This is brilliant! Very helpful, as a new (lazy) animator this really points the way. All your videos are helpful, actually!

  • :O

    Teach me your ways!

  • @FatLittleSpoon

  • I AM SUSCRIBING THIS IS AWSOME!!!!!!

  • I'm having trouble with the front, 3/4 view (front 3/4 and rear) and back... :C

  • oh my goodness... i can't believe you did this! =D these are so hard to do! well not /hard/ but it takes a pinch of creativity, and sprinkle of good anatomical skills, and a dash of a lot of time put into it. fabulous x3

  • what is a camera?

  • @Runningpaw123098

    The audience's point of view.

  • @Runningpaw123098

Oh, right, i thought you meant in this instance.

Cameras are visual recording equipment, what we see on screen is their output- whatever they were pointed at and recording. For drawn animation, the animators have to visualise the scene and draw it out on paper, accounting for the various points of view in this way, a camera would instead be used to photograph each still frame.

  • @DarkmaneTheWerewolf okay, it seem's hard. Is it?

  • @Runningpaw123098

Not too hard if you know what you're doing, very time consuming though.

  • @Runningpaw123098

    The audiences point of view....

    Do you like warriors cats????

    I do....

  • @pablosep1 Yeah, I'm a fan of Erin Hunter. ^.^ Cat's are great, right?

  • @Runningpaw123098

    YA!!!!!

  • Wow, this looks fantastic. Very smooth- so fluid! I can't wait to see the finished product, I can't thank you enough for agreeing to be a part of the project.

  • Beautiful

  • Wow this is really wonderful! How did you manage to do this?!

  • awesome job, just another great run animation by you, oh great master of the animation art, yoda. wow, just uploaded today and you already have a lot of comments, you sure are popular, because you are so amazing!

  • Could you help me with this? I'm really having troubles with running that isn't from the side :C

  • @Autumpool

What angle are you having trouble with? I also have a front run cycle guide on my channel somewhere.

  • great <3

  • This is really awesome! It's so smooth.... ^^

  • very smooth animation, i gives two thumbs up ^^

  • For just a rough, that's beautifully done. There was no jumping with body parts, no distortion in the form, and it was done at a nice speed. *claps* You never cease to amaze, even with roughs. xD

Say, is Braveheart's Legend truly still going? I haven't really heard anything with it in a long time. o.O

    =^^= Nya

  • @RocketMeowth

Apparently so =p seeing as i'm working with them to make the ending eh?

  • @DarkmaneTheWerewolf lol, makes sense. xD

    =^^= Nya

  • That is amazing! I love it!!!

  • WOAH. Please teach me how to do this :O You are wayyyyyy better than disney or any other animator I have ever seen! SO FREAKING AWESOME.

  • @Icoria5

Just plan the movement of the body according to the camera rotation (a full revolution), no easing in and out though, keep it constant. Aim for a nice composite number because when you plan the run itself, it needs to fit nicely into the rotation if you want it to loop.

For this, i made the camera rotate 360 degrees in 60 frames, then planned a 12 frame run to go with it. 12x5 = 60 = a nice, neat 5 cycles for every full 360 rotation of the camera which loops nicely.

  • AMAZING!

  • wow this is awsome! i wish i could do an animation like that^^

  • Oh wow! this is absolutely amaising :D i cant beleive how smoth this looks -^^- how do you do it?

  • Wow!! This is very good! When I first clicked on this, I thought it would be all choppy and rough, but its very fluid and smooth!! Great job!!

  • @WolfPawDragonClaw

A bit of planning goes a long way =) I had planned out the speed of the rotation, then planned a run cycle to go with it first. Once both were ok, mash them together so they fit. =p

Though i did mess up the ears when the camera goes behind him.

  • Amazing!!! absolutely perfect! :D

you deserve much more subs ^^

    your animations are truly fantastic.

  • Wow... Dark this is Amazing! The Rotation is perfect and so is the run cycle!

  • Thats amazing!!!! :D

  • Wow, that's incredible :O

  • Looks so wonderful <33

  • AWESOME!! how long did this take you :O

  • @XNeelixX

One day planning, another day drawing ><
