Unfortunately for those of you who have thought to strike a negative cord you do not know the reasons behind him writing this song if it was for a loved one, or in memory. The third verse of this song kills me. It was my little cousin when she was just 2 years old. She had lung cancer and usually always had a ball cap on her bald head, since we were usually at a ball field of some sort unless we were at the hospital. It was some of the hardest days of my life, to think she might not make it through, and I would have given anything to have took the pain for her. I love her to death. She is now 9 and thriving. She is my own walking talking miracle.
