  • love it!!

  • I don't use ATMS, but I want to support my community and not Large Corporations.

  • TRAITOR!!!!!! LOL

  • Canadians should have their own Bank Transfer Day today as well! :D

  • Very nice video, explained better in this article

  • Canadians are funny :P

  • This is a great short presentation. I teach English at a credit union in Asia, I'll be using this video as study material. Well done!

  • ouuu i don't know let me call Toronto if they are ok with that :D

  • This rocks! :) My experience with credits unions = good, Mainstream banks = bad.

  • ... So credit unions give out loans to any person who asks for it? And they don't use a third party to print their cheques? I'm open minded about credit unions, and I understand that this video is supposed to be glib and funny, but you're not being very honest about how similar banks and credit unions really are. Furthermore, good luck finding any credit union ATM around the places you work and shop. They are very few and far between.

  • @CanadianQueer The more people throw off the big bank chains for crecit unions, the more CUz there will be. Besides, CUz are co-op, which means any credit union will service your account, and you can even use other CUz ATM machines for free. Of course you can use the big bank ATM if you want, but they will charge you a fee just as if you had an account with them. Still, you have better options with a CU than a bank. Don't be such a Debby Downer next time. LOL

  • Traitor! XD

  • You are so talented!

  • traitor!!

  • hahha ooohh let me check with darando hahaha geneous

  • Love~

  • wnat to see a really evil banker, check out bankbetterway.

  • Any Joe Shmo can't join a credit union, you have to qualify. Credit unions ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE STUPIDITY FOR ELECTING THE SAME THIEVES TAKING MONEY FROM YOU AND GIVING IT TO THE BANKS! WAKE UP! Please learn the REASON WHT credit unions was formed and signed by Roosevelt.

  • new york banks are evil

  • Community banks are better.

  • Wonderful inventive graphics and writing, excellent job...:-) I am a fan of credit unions in the U.S. (Kentucky) and consider Canadian Club and Credit Unions two of the finest canadian exports to the U.S. :-)

  • lol i watched this in business class, the bank teller is funny

  • Glad you like the character!

  • my Bank has not one, not two, but THREE branches in my town alone and i live 5 minutes from the first one. not only that, i can also drive another 10-15 min to find about another 3 branches. there is one credit union. the next nearest CU branch, like you said, is in the downtown area surrounded by tall buildings, 25 minutes away. how late are credit unions open til? 4? 5pm? my bank is open until 8 pm five days a week.

  • and uh, not sure how i would feel about a credit union giving a loan to any joe shmo that walks in asking for one. "hi can i have a loan?" "sure! here's $30 grand enjoy!" no wonder the economy is tanking.

  • The economy is tanking because of 2D stickmen?

And his name isn't Joe Shmoe, it's Jim! :)

That's too bad that a credit union isn't location-convenient in your case. However, all credit unions are unique, so to generalize factors like hours and loan policy is to assume that credit unions are universal.

This video was made specifically for a youth demographic in Northern Alberta with access to a Servus (then Common Wealth) credit union.

  • Credit unions continue to be strong because of conservative lending standards. The tanking of the economy has nothing to do with how credit unions have behaved.

  • Five days a week? Wow, no Saturdays? CU's got you beat there buddy....

  • @jimbob486 Yeah, but you're not an owner if you bank with a bank =P

  • Omg! So funny! I love it! Thanks Larissa!! You rock girl!! ;)

  • Loved Part 2 -- thanks for the creativity. As far as free ATM access goes, if you'r CU doesn't have many ATMs, they likely belong to a surcharge-free network. If they don't and this is important to you, find another CU that fits your needs. Or find one that offers any ATM use free, maybe up to a certain number per month, and take your business there. Equally important is online banking capability. Check that out too!

  • Thanks for the good advice!

  • LOL @ 1:37

  • I've tried...hasn't worked yet:P

  • but...what if you are in toronto?

  • I moved from BC to Yukon... Yukon has zero credit unions! I had to close my Coast Capital account and find a bank. Bummer.

  • guess i got the idea thnx for the video

  • Entertaining to watch. Thanks for sharing.

  • TEXAS!

  • lol, i loved the traitor part. I think this video over does things. In twin cities there are about 200 atms for a bank rather than 28 for union.

  • I guess it depends where you are. Alberta is very credit union ATM friendly. Anywhere a bank ATM is accessible, there's always a credit union variant nearby. :)

  • I'm italian and this video is very stupid!!! XD LOL

  • I'm American, and this Italian is very stupid!!! XD LULZ

  • i'm italian also but i found this video very informative

also why the hell would you point out your ethnicity? Is that suppose to persuade people?

  • I heard a great comparison. Think of Keebler Cookie Company vs. Girl Scout Cookies. They offer pretty much the same products, but one is not for profit. Credit unions are non-profit institutions. And they taste yummy like Girl Scout Cookies!

  • Awesume vid and the others in the series too. explains the Credit Union movement really well.

Kepp up the good work !!

  • These are AMAZING! My whole family loves them. (and were from the US!) Great job on the "stop motion" stuff. But I think you could use a bit more lighting. Other then that they're perfect, keep it up!
