Funny, what is considered normal in Japan on the West would be called avantgarde. Our western rock came from blues and most rock musicians can't cut this root making their music predictable.

Japanese musicians who were introduced to rock somewhere in the past share no tradition of this genere thus they are not under burden of blues heritage. That gives them will to experiment to have more fun making music.
