I have a problem, basically:

I jailbroke my phone ages ago and it was fine but then my iTunes asked if I wanted to upgrade my iPhone OS to 3.0 or something like that. So I did. After it finished my cydia and installer was gone. I tried rejailbreaking but when I put the firmware in Quickpwn this message occurs: 'The IPSW file you selected (iPhone1,2_3.0.1) doesn't match the firmware version of your device (iPhone1,2_2.2.1). Please note that QuickPwn doesn't upgrade your firmware,.........

Dude i have a question, im having my IPODTOUCH 1G with iPod1,1_2.2.1_5H11_Restore firmware. when quickpwn detect my ipod and firmware, then proceed to the step of 5 sec to 25 sec, i cant go thru, the apple logo doesn't appear. plz help me!!!

my recommendation is to update to 3.0 and jailbreak with red snow 10x better :-) thats just me bro

but its the best copy&paste, you can import your favorties from the computer into the ipod man just great try it if you dont want downgrade it again :-)

my bad did i forget to mention it but if you have

windows xp: you go to tools i think and then its the third tab click it and click show hidden files im sorry if its not right im doing it from memory i have a vista now

windows vista: you go to the folder click organize it show a drop down menu go to folder and search options click it and go to view you ll see hidden files and folder on do not show click show hidden files

I got a simpler one. Simply copy the ipsw file from your directory into another directory. Use the "restore" button in Itunes, and simply use the file you just took a copy of.

When the restoring is done, simply reopen quickpwn, and voila. The file from the ordinary directory suddenly works.

I don't mean to be rude but you just gave a "how to" about using very simple software. I can't even think of how else one would go about this process. You basically just told us to check and make sure the firmware is saved on the correct location. The answer is yes and I still get the error...

hey guys im going to write this just incase you dont know excatly what the vid is saying "hey did you try it step by step as i said in the video if not try it again. just remeber to uninstall quickpwn and delete the software redownload everything then to ctrl+alt+delete go to processes and anything that says ipod or itunes click end process after it works just restart the pc and it should be back"

What happened was i had it jailbroken and i accidentaly updated the software. Ever since than I have been trying to re-jail break it.(i keep getting that firm ware error message)

not this jailbreak. i did a tethered jailbreak on my 2g though, try that.
