i have 3g 3.1.2 mb model and it turns off itself suddenly while doing something,or even without doing something

it happens sometimes when you touch your iphone with sticky fingers and that substance remains no the screen,, it sticks there. now ur iphone wont respond to ur strokes. another thing is sometimes ur phone hangs for a while..

i have the ipod touch and i know that the software version at the time was really buggy but with 2.2 the bugs have really disappeared. im thinking that apple will be coming out with new software but thats a thought only because apple usally comes out with new softare frequently

Your iPhone is broken. You need to fix it. There's obviously something wrong with it, I haven't seen ANYBODY having these problems. It seems that PhoneArena is very elitist and for some reason they dislike Apple. The honestly gave the LG Dare a better review then the iPhone when it does half as much with a far less polished UI. The Dare has a great camera but that's really the only thing it has going for it. The iPhone has a world of apps at your finger tips. Nobody else has done that but Apple.

First of all, calm down. Second of all, I just did some research on it. The reason that your iPhone is so expensive is because Belgium law requires the iPhone to be unlocked. The iPhone is so cheap on all the other carriers because you actually pay for the phone over the course of the contract. The iPhone in Belgium isn't attached to a contract and it must be sold 'unlocked.' This means you can't pay for the phone over the course of the contract and you have to pay up front. Hope I helped.

Wow. I've been lucky as far as lockups go, and my phone was chucked across the pool deck Friday evening. I've experienced to reboots (Midomi and Weatherbug - both gone..) I've also experienced some lag with the contacts application and a crazy issue with SMS where I have no text input field. I've thought about downgrading... but don't think I can with the iPhone 3G.

Have you tried the firmware from Itunes. Its known that the firmware your phone came with is an older compared to the one that iTUnes is restoring onto the iPhone 3G. Give it a try.
