  • Ian Stewart was the man, so was Nicky Hopkins, but some people think Ian Stewart looked like Jay Leno in the film LETS SPEND THE NIGHT TOGETHER

  • Isn't Bill great? Read about Alexis Korner sometime and be amazed. His influence and contribution to so many in British rock is incredible and yet unknown. How about Stu? Does anyone know of anywhere else that you can see this master of boogie woogie play like this? You checked out way to soon Stu.

  • As singing bassists go, Paul McCartney has nothing to fear from Mr. Wyman!

  • @chungiemunchin Paul is a(pop-music)_God.His basslines are the finest in pop-history.Bill is a good RocknRoll-Bassist and iadmitt singing and good bass-playing same time is difficult.

  • I was at this show! For the marquee Club's 25th anniversary. Great memories

  • Always wondered why Bill W. never sang on any of the Stones recordings. Now I know.

  • @widdyhabb

    Not quite right.

He sings "In Another Land" on the Stones album "Their Satanic Majesty Request" from 1967. Believe it or not!

  • @widdyhabb He actually sang "In Another Land" off the Satanic Majesties Request album. Actually not a lot of people know it but Bill's song je sus un rock star was the largest selling single off of any Stones' solo album.

  • Im not the copyright owner! and I want this video here in youtube forever!!

    I mean it!

  • Tell me please, Ian Stewart Play in All The Concert or just some songs?

  • @helmusico all the show but "I'd Rather go blind"

  • Thanks for even mentioning that! I didn't even think that until u said it! I think it really is Ian Stewart isn't it??

  • Excellent!!

  • c'est excellent pour finir la semaine,

je crois que je vais brancher ma guitare. merci

  • They just don't make 'em like Stu anymore, we miss you Stu!

  • if mick taylor was there, tht would have been all the stones i need!

  • me too

rolling stones = mick taylor, bill wyman n charlie watts

  • You forgot Stu. Ian Stewart with a great (boogie) piano player. Ian, RIP!

  • Bill si que tiene una voz de bluesero!!

    waoo!

    pkm!!

  • Bill....You were the quintessential Rolling Stone (Look & Soundwise),but......

please stay away from the mic ▼♪

  • Is this his 70th birthday? Come on cut him some slack. He's been standing quietly for like 50 years or more. Ha ha - long time - he looks great.

  • Amen to that!

  • bill es increible, bill es el mejor hoy y siempre, gracias por la musica bill

  • A web-o mi buen, gracias por comentar, gusto ver otro Mexicano por acá, estuve viendo tus videos están muy chingones!

  • bill is awesome. ian stewart burned the house down.

  • Ian stewart on the keys......Yes! Please!!!

  • This is a very special musical moment. The historical importance cannot be overstated. I have been a Stones fan since 1964, and appreciate all that they have contributed to music. I was born 1500' from Alexis Korners Killing floor in Ealing in 1953, but never knew it until two years ago after reading Bills Book. Bought my first guitar in 1965 and still playing today. These cats influenced my life for sure. They did a great deal for music.

  • Wow! Such a rare & great video! MANY THANKS for posing!

  • Great Bill , greats Stones

thanks for video I am sorry for my english macarroni

    Greetings from Spain

  • Your Englis is great. Saludos desde la Ciudad de México, soy hijo de españoles

  • Bill is "BLUES"

  • give "Mary..." to me please...

  • Long life Bill !

  • does anyone remember "Mary, please open the door...?" Nowhere to find, but nice to see Alexis on YT, thanks

  • great bill

  • Wow! Thanks for postic.I've never heard Bill shout out a song like in did on this one. Always brilliant Bill!

  • Wonderful to see Alexis again.

  • Chck out the Youtube Vid Bill Wyman Peebles talk part one. It was only Last Year I think, but he has his Daughter with him. I think shes only about 10 Years old.

  • It's nice to find his play with Stu!

I still love Stones but present Stones is different from the one which I used to love because Bill is no longer in the band...

BTW, is it performance around 1983??

  • Yes! It is the Marquee 1958-1983 Silver Jubilee Gig. April 29, 1983

  • PMSL...Nice try Bill. Don't look anything like 70 though. If you'd been the singer instead of Mick you'd never have got beyond Studio 51. Isn't YouTube great!

  • You Tube rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • In sense thats true, he's not a great Singer, but then again he's never ever claimed to be. He was always a committed Bassist, thats his Forte.

And I guess many 70 Year olds envy how he looks today.

  • bill wyman looks pretty good here...i think..

  • Bill wyman looked dead in 1964

  • Yeah but at least they got him really animated for the shows.....

  • bill looks great for 70 much better than jagger whos younger than him bill was born in the 30s loved his bass playing with the stones also his books are great

  • epouvantable!

  • This vid is from '83, Bill's only 47 here, now he's 72.

  • thanks man. I was going crazy thinking he was 70 on the vid!!!

    I couldn't believe it...

  • Yep, and he's still touring and playing away. You're never ever too old to Rock'N Roll :-)

  • Half this lineup is dead. Depressing!

  • The albums Wyman made were not very good as he seemed to become a singer songwriter. He needs to stick to covers.

You can also see why Jagger was the Stones singer!

  • Stu Is A Frickin Legend, Insane Piano Playing

  • Let's not forget their (our) roots! This is terrific! Thanks so much!

  • He's a Warrior, his independence is all! Jagguer and Richard are a mercenary, Wylman is good... Congratulation for him!

(Wilman é um guerreiro, sua independência é tudo pra ele! Jaguer e Richards são mercenários... Wylman é bom, não precisa deles... Sucesso!

  • let's be realistic! Have you heard Keith Richards and Ron Wood backing vocals after 1973? Sometimes really awful, sometimes good. I mean, Bill Wyman could have done it also (and in my memory, he did sing backing vocals when they covered Chuck Berry at their debut).

  • Bill Wyman was, and always will be my favorite Rolling Stone. The band hasn't been the same without him. Great Video!

  • 100 % IN AGREEMENT !

  • Wow. Thanks for sharing!

  • not bad. good on you Bill. let this be a lesson to all! start singing now before its too late. just think of what he could have done with a little encouragement. (I thought he was bloody Elvis I did).

  • syrren and others...I got news for you. Mick Jagger cannot sing worth a crap. I'm sure you might have noticed. He can just wiggle his bum better.

  • Hell the reason Ian Stewart was officially not in the band (although he toured and recorded with them as the unofficial keyboard player) was because he didn't "look good enough." Even in this clip he gets very little face-time (you see a lot of his hands though - like the Stones, they couldn't deny his talent)

  • I wonder if he has taken up with any more underage girls like he married in the past???

  • bill wyman lead vocal love it this video is great

  • Ian had chops-RIP. Bill, stick to the bass, no more singing please. Where's Charlie? Videographer hates drummers, what an a-hole!

  • I can see why Mick Jagger was chosen as the frontsman for the Stones, this is embarassingly awful!!!

  • Syrren - You just don't get it, do you ? Your comment show's an ignorant and arrogant view. Go put on some Abba. Your obviously NOT too smart. What a friggin' comment!

  • Syreen - I was a bit harsh in my previous statement. Mick wasn't CHOSEN as the front man, he always was. As far as "embarrassing awful". This is what got my goat. No,Wyman can't sing too well, but that's not the point. It's his 70th birthday party. Let the man cut loose if he wants to. No need to compare. Get It !!!

  • Classic keeper - the WyMan cuts loose!

    Fun Stuff

    THANKS YOU ALL

    PEACE

  • i'm really stunned---to see wyman not only actually move but to sing too !!!! i almost soiled myself....

  • very rare to see Bill sing-thanks

  • Bill's got the Roll.

  • excellent!
