the only black men who would marry you probably is someone who had a white mom (barack obama) or someone whose adopted, youre right about marrying someone outside...black men WAY TOO.... colorist..When you marry, dont worry about family, yet, because theyll love the grandchildren regardless
This is the 21st century,IR is sooo passe, everyone is entitled to their choices, afterall, it is all about love, however there are quite a few contractions in this video,it is important to be with the man that makes you happy, but ruling out a Black American man as an option is kind of strange especially as a Black American yourself,if it is not about colour then you should be colour blind.green, yellow, blue and black should not matter,it should just be who you happen to fall in love with
"I knew from a very young race that there was something about the white race that attracted me" Perhaps you are attracted to the white man because you feel that marrying him (instead of a black guy) would raise your status in society. JUST think about that for a second... remember when we were kids and white people just seemed to HAVE everything? Have you ever gone to a restaurant with your WM and noticed how you got better service because you're with the feared white man? Think about it :)
@AshasJourney When I made the comment that "I knew from a young age what was my preference" it had nothing to do with social status. My attraction was simply the fact that the things I found interesting was found commonly among white men. Getting a "higher social status" was never my concern if it was I can climb that latter all by myself with my education and beauty I dont think I would have a problem (not to brag).
@AshasJourney As far as your restaurant comment goes, I have been with Black men and white men in a restaurant and gotten both good and bad service not ignoring that racism occurs but color of my man doesnt always make a difference. btw I am a marrying kind of women so if my man was black he would know that after awhile its either we get married or end the relationship color has nothing to do with it. How I get treated is based on my standards and not that of my man black or white.
Its mostly the black people who have a hard time embracing other races.I remember i was in a white neighbourhood another day.And a lady came to me to ask directions she was lost.I showed her. After that she told me she couldn,t ask directions to anyone just pple of colour smh!
PS. in my country we got the slogan: "Fishes spawn in calm water". We say it when some silent, closemouthed person is said to have started to date. So does it surpise that this kinda person, old friend of mine and handsome, started to date lately filippino girl. Another similar case: he married with woman from Kenya.
Bf make sometimes fail presumptions of those wm who are ready date bw. Your hubby was actually typical example - not ideologically into black culture, inc. popular one, he likely never even think about possibility to date bw. And that could be good for future, coz so called "jungle fever" ain't harming the relationship. The relationship based on genuine attraction and a mutual respect for one another is much stronger than that based on "jungle fever". It's real not fantasy.
" his mom sat down with me and told me she was happy i was with her son "
Propably his mother has an instinct about his son's preference, just like mothers many times have. They can read between the lines. One thing i've noticed is that those whites become estranged (of "white society") are more likely dating outside their race than those who have big and tight network. I mean communality (of whites, and blacks) can be sometimes were strong barrier to IR. Also small towns.
Sorry for writing so much on your page but I felt the same way too I always knew I would marry outside my ethnicity because I believe that mixing is more fun and interesting. I think people, (if they want) more people should get out of their circle, same here and same there is so boring to me. I'm just sayin'
Your parents should be happy that he is good to you and accept him. Sadly for some girls they are caught in terrible relationships, you are not that person. They should realize if something is not broken don't assume to fix it.
A promise ring he soo wants to keep you, pack you up and take you home lol. Sorry I could not watch the vide earlier in the day youtube runs slow then that's why I am now commenting on the ring.
@arthuria321 Awwh that is so sweet and true not all white men who date or marry black women are wanna be blacks like some people assume. My white hubby is the same way too. He just loved me for me:o)
@arthuria321 "U are so pretty and nice i would be crazy to pass u up" d'aaaw....i personally think it's only IDIOTIC men that would see a beautiful black woman that they click with wonderfully and could see themselves spending their lives with only to bypass her because she's black and because it would be "so tough"....
Most of my family accepts me being married to a black woman, although there are a few opposers. Her family is acceptng to me and one of my nieces just adores me being her uncle.
Glad his family accepts you. About your own family, the truth is, many of the older generations oppose this. You won't get as much opposition amongst people your age, but expect from the older folks.
Another good video babe. While family is important at the end it is just the two of you like stacey said and you need to make yourself happy before you can make another person happy. Its a tough choice for black women to date white men because of the stigma that comes with it from the black community/males but there is nothing wrong with it have faith in your decisions and if you have never dated a white male take a chance you may find a whole new world.
@arthuria321 lol so very true.If you listen to my bf he doesn't have an urban "sound" to him in fact I tell him he sounds country all the time, till you get to know him lol. But yes you can never judge a book by its cover!!
@arthuria321 that's great to hear!!! and like I sad my bf family welcomed me with open arms as well. its sad but the black community has been the hardest to accept other race entering into their family and that's such a discouraging mentality that is still being taught to kids around the world.
@starshine9985 If you say black people, I would like to give my observations on that. From what I have noticed Caribbean cultures do not have a problem with interracial as much as our African American brother and sisters. I've noticed if there is a bwwm relationship often the women is of a non AA heritage. My parents never had issues with race they accepted my hubby with open arms.
