  • The Dave Clark Five also covered this song in 1967. It was a hit. I just looked and you can find both their mono single and stereo album versions on Youtube. There is also a clip of them performing it live on TV if you don't mind the sounds of the kids screaming. Check out the DC5 version. It's well done.

  • Does anybody know who had the original way back in the 1950s? Wonder if that one is on YouTube too. Hope so, that will *really* bring back the memories!

    Guys, guys, guys! It was Marv Johnson in 1959! I finally determined that. What a great hit which brings back memories when I was 12! Have a listen - it's on YouTube! Love it.

  • Embaressed to say it, but I still love this song. First single I ever had at 9 years old. I forgot about the color suits LMAO. Had a big crush on the lead singer!! The words are classic.
