Why Uruguyan?! The composer Benjamin Tagle Lara was born in Buenos Aires (San Telmo) on 23 June 1892 and there he died on November 9, 1932. "Zaraza" was sung for the first time in Uruguay but it remains an Argentinean tango-cancion composed by an Argentinean composer.
Anyway the Polish version is a nice one. I love it.
It's a marvellous melody and a moving interpretation. I'm Italian and my father was taken prisoner by the Nazi and sent to Poland. When he luckily escaped and made it back to Italy he weighed 39 Kg. The only good memory of that terrible experience was a Polish woman who twice a week and risking her life would leave a little bundle hidden in a hedge filled with some bread, few slices of pork meat and other remains from her meal. No wonder I had tears in my eyes listening to this song. Thanks a lot
I thank you very much for your reply. I owe to an unknown and heroic Polish woman the life of my father and since then I always considered Poland as my second home. God bless your nation and your people and may they prosper in happiness and peace. One last thing: though I'm using a british nickname, I'm Italian and my name's Emilio.
Thank you, Daniel. Yes, you're right and I hope the new generations will REMEMBER what kind of hell the Nazis and Fascists made of all Europe. By the, way, as I said in my reply to yurek46pink, though my nickname is british, I'm Italian
and my real name's Emilio.
My best to you from Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy.
Brilliant! Somehow, while listening to this tango start thinking about the fate of Polish officers and soldiers killed in Katyn. Tears come to my eyes...Knew one survivor, a Jewish carporal who survived the massacre.
TANGO URUGUAYAN - composed in 1929 by Benjamin Tagle Lara ..Ignacio Corsini sang it first .. ZARAZA - I see, it was in fashion in Poland ..but also in Romania ..ZARAZA- there is also a love story between a beutiful gipsy women and the singer Cristian Vasile
That was cartarescu's fiction! No love story was involved! cant you see the song is copied? Therefore not written by Cristian Vasile! and that zaraza was no gypsy, but an Argentianian tango! Think woman!
Wtedy piosenki zawsze były o czymś i to chyba zasadnicza różnica pomiędzy dzisiejszą, a przedwojenną polską muzyką.
Thanks for this enchanting duet -- two shining voices. I only know him from "Gdy Radio..." which I love. Hopefully there will be more by him and by Gran.
przepiękne, Boże kto dziś się śmie nazywac piosenkarzem, piosenkarką?!

yes, it seems to be an argentine tango, but the romanian version is much better in interpretation of Cristian Vasile, the great troubadour ..

Wonderful. Of the Argentine versions, Canaro's from 1929, with Charlo singing, is the most tender.

I am not the Romanian-story maker of that song here.
Just more attention and politeness.
